SUMMARY:ATW Bedford Half Marathon & 10k
DESCRIPTION:Location: \n\n\n\nRussell Park\, Bedford\, Bedfordshire\, MK40 3RH \n\n\n\nThis chip-timed event is a sure-fire guarantee to give you the best chance of a PB in the Half-Marathon or 10K. \n\n\n\nThe one lap 10k course starts and finishes on the beautiful Bedford Embankment and runs out alongside the flat\, tree lined river Ouse. After heading out towards Priory Park and a lap of the beautiful Priory Lake you’ll return to the Embankment over the Town Bridge and hearing the cheers of the crowds at the finish line. \n\n\n\nThose tackling the Half Marathon will head back out for a second-lap with a slight extension to make up the accurate 21.1km (13.1 mile) Half Marathon distance. \n\n\n\nThe course will have both kilometre markers for the 10k and mile markers for the Half Marathon. \n\n\n\nThe whole route is on traffic-free tarmac or firm paths and with less than 50m of elevation across the 10k\, and 100m across the Half Marathon its bound to be a PB buster! \n\n\n\nThis event is more than just a run. You’ll be warmed up with personal trainers\, welcomed home by a professional commentator and your cheer-squad will be kept fed and watered by quality caterers while you run. \n\n\n\nA FREE Children’s Fun Run will also take place before the race start (no need to book\, just turn up to registration\, and you’re welcome to use it as a warm-up for the main event!) \n\n\n\nReason to Enter This Event:\n\n\n\n\nPB busting course\n\n\n\nBeautiful embankment run course\n\n\n\nWell marked course\n\n\n\nSupportive marshals\n\n\n\n5-star reviews on race check\n\n\n\nFREE event photos\n\n\n\nCustom designed medal\n\n\n\nFinish line snacks & goodies\n\n\n\nExcellent Previous Participant Reviews

SUMMARY:Summer 10K
DESCRIPTION:Where is it?\n\n\n\n\nCoombe Abbey Park\, Coventry is run and managed by Coventry City Council. The What 3 Words location is here.\n\n\n\n\nParking costs up £3 for 1-2 hours. There is a toilet block next to the HQ on site. Coombe Abbey Park (CV3 2AB) is on the outskirts of Coventry and 6 minutes from Junction 2 of the M6. The closest train station is Coventry. \n\n\n\nIf you want to see what the venue is like watch the venue preview here. \n\n\n\nCan I run with my dog?\n\n\n\n\nNo\, it’s likely to be too warm\, even later in the day to be running with dogs.\n\n\n\n\nCourse description\n\n\n\nYou’ll be running through woodland\, meadow and over grass fields. Depending on the weather leading up to the event this could mean muddy\, not so muddy or rock hard! There will be exposed trees roots\, uneven surfaces and a few gates to navigate but the running will always have a view. \n\n\n\nThe route is undulating but not hilly. A truly great venue and route! \n\n\n\nWhat does it cost?\n\n\n\nWe operate a tiered pricing approach. The earlier you enter\, the cheaper the event but never ever will you pay a booking fee! \n\n\n\n\nBefore 11/06/2025 £16\n\n\n\nAfter 11/06/2025 £21\n\n\n\n\nUnaffiliated entrants pay £2 extra. Why not join your local running club or sign up the Big Bear Brigade and save 10% off entries for ever! \n\n\n\nHow far is the race?\n\n\n\n10k! This might seem a bit pointless to mention given the name but this is different to a normal Big Bear Event. You’ll get the same love\, a medal and some goodies but you can’t run all night! \n\n\n\nI’ve heard you do cupless events?\n\n\n\nYes\, but not for this event. Unlike our other events we will have some biodegradable cups with water/electrolyte available on the course. If you have a foldable/collapsible cup you can bring\, even better but we don’t insist on it for our short races. \n\n\n\nHas the event been run before?\n\n\n\nYes! We have won a Racecheck Gold Award for this event in 2024 and have won Gold awards in previous years. It has over 150 reviews scoring it at 4.8 out of 5! You’ll love it! \n\n\n\nI’m not that fussed by a medal..\n\n\n\nIn that case our partnership with Earth Runs will be perfect! Rather than give you a medal you don’t really want (and to help reduce waste) we’ll give you a Big Bear Tree Token. Not only will a tree be planted for each token given out but the token is also full of wildflower seeds for you to grow at home! \n\n\n\nIs there a cut-off?\n\n\n\nEffectively 2 hours. This is how long the medics are booked for. The hope is that cut-off shouldn’t exclude anyone from entering. Please do contact us if that is the case. We do have to be conscious of the sunset too!

SUMMARY:The Bridge Children's Triathlon
DESCRIPTION:The 7th Bridge Children’s Triathlon will take place on the 13th July 2025. Entries are now open for the 2025 Dartford Bridge Children’s Triathlon. Every year we learn a bit more and we try and improve our events.\nNew swim course for this year’s children’s race. No lap’s just one loop for each race. 50m\, 150m\, 200\, 300\, this will make the swim easier for the children. \nDue to time restrictions we are limited to only 50 in each age race wave. Boys and girls may be racing in the same wave. The children’s race is a stand alone race now. It was to hard to run it after the adult race. We need to have reopened the road by 10am so all waves will need to start on time. \nWe will be fencing off all areas this year for safety reasons. We will also be moving the Transition area down to the trees to give us more room. The Finish will also be moved 20m again to give us more room (see site plan) \nRegistration will only open at 5.30am for the children’s race. All children must be at the start area 15 minutes before their wave is due to start. Start times will be sent out the week before the race date by e-mail. They will also be posted on the web site \nIf you have any questions please feel free to ask before the day of the race. Estimated start time for each age group. This will be confirmed on 10th July. \n\nTri-Star 4 15/16 6.30 am\nTri-Star 3 13/14 7.30 am\nTri-Star 2 11/12 8.15am\nTri-Star 1 9/10 9.00am\nTri-Start 8 9.30am\n\nPlease note this will be a wet suit swim for the children’s race.
