The Family Swim Holidays 2019 will take place at the fabulous world renowned BEST Centre\, in the beautiful town of Colònia Sant Jordi\, on the southern tip of Mallorca where you will stay just minutes from some of Europe’s most stunning beaches. \nThe swim holiday is designed for swimmers aged 6-18 years old\, who are used to training regularly with a swim team\, (please email us if you have any questions). The holiday will cater for all levels of swimmer from club swimmer to international standard. \nFACILITIES \nThe Pool\nThe centrepiece of The BEST Centre is our outdoor Olympic-sized training pool. The 10 lane\, 50m pool (50m x 25m x 2m) is a free-standing pool from Astra\, who supply the competition pools for the FINA world championships. \nThe Gym\nWe know that a well equipped gym is essential for a successful training camp\, so we have an on-site gym fully equipped and dedicated to swimming. We also have two large areas suitable for land work\, and plenty of space around the pool for stretching. Our state of the art facilities at The BEST Centre attract individuals and teams from across the world. More specifically\, we have welcomed 1000s of different swimming\, water polo\, triathlon and synchronised swimming teams from 38 countries worldwide. The combination of our facilities and the peacefulness of Colònia make for the perfect training camp – good enough for the very BEST! \nWHAT TO EXPECT\n“Our goal for each athlete is to have fun\, learn\, meet new friends\, and take a great attitude about their sport back to his or her home club.” \nWHAT’S INCLUDED\nThe swim holiday will be run by British Olympic swimmers and former British record holders as well as ASA qualified coaches. The holiday will comprise of 9 x 2 hour swimming sessions for 7 day holidays and 13 x 2 hour swim sessions for the 10 day holiday\, accompanied by dry land and stretching exercises. \nThe focus will be on:\n» Technique work.\n» Kicking.\n» Starts and turns.\n» Breakouts.\n» And having the most fun you can possibly have in a week of swimming. \nWhen the children are training\, parents are free to do their own thing and explore some of the beautiful sights of the island\, or sit in the sun and watch your children train. Parents will also have the opportunity to use the pool and the gym\, free of charge whilst the kids train! \nAlthough this is a swim holiday\, we offer so much more! As you can see on the itineraries\, outside of training we have a fun-filled schedule with lots of fun activities\, along with plenty of free time to relax as a family. \nWHAT TO BRING\nAll swimmers will need to bring fins and snorkel. Either bring your own if you have it\, or please order your kit from us and it will be waiting for you on your arrival. We recommend and sell Finis Zoomers or Z2\, and Finis snorkels. We have plenty of kick boards and pull buoys so there is no need to bring them. (Note: A non swimming child is aged 16 or under). \n1-2-1s: During the holiday we can organise 1-2-1 sessions of 30 or 60 minutes with individual swimmers. As time is very limited during the week\, it is best to book these in advance to avoid disappointment. Please note we do not offer 1:2:1 sessions on the arrival or departure days of our holiday dates. Cost for 30 minute session is 35 euros and 60 minutes is 50 euros. DESCRIPTION:Leeds Castle will again host the Junior Aquathlon for children aged from 8 to 14 years old. \nThe categories will be TriStart (8yrs)\, TriStar 1 (9-10yrs)\, TriStar 2 (11-12yrs) and TriStar3 (13-14yrs). \nThe swim will take place in the beautiful moat surrounding the iconic Castle and the run will be across the stunning estate. For each child registered an accompanying adult can spectate the race for free and also enjoy the Castle\, grounds and attractions for the whole day. \nThe swim will be in the beautiful moat surrounding this iconic Castle\, the bike course will take you out into the surrounding area and then the finish will be the run course around the stunning Leeds Castle estate. \nThe Junior Aquathlon swim will be in the iconic Castle’s moat followed by a run within the Castle grounds. \nThe Triathlon and Junior Aquathlon run courses are both cross country\, around the estate grounds which includes a mixture of grass and paths on varying gradients \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:Pembrokeshire plays host annually to one of the most difficult triathlons in Wales – the Long Course Weekend. This unique event lasts three days in mid-July\, accommodating some of the best triathlon talent in the UK and the world\, including a number of IRONMAN UK athletes\, serving as the perfect preparation and build up to the IRONMAN Wales event in September. \nTo kick-off the weekend on Friday evening\, the Long Course athletes have The Wales Swim to complete – a 2.4 mile swim that takes place on Tenby’s North Beach. On Saturday their attention turns to The Wales Sportive\, and 112 miles of undulating Welsh countryside lined with enthusiastic crowds.  \nTo finish the weekend\, the athletes have the small task(!) of completing the 26.2 miles of The Wales Marathon\, which is quickly establishing itself as a fantastic event in its own right.\nMore than 50\,000 competitors have attempted the difficult terrain and challenging weather conditions on this punishing route since its first event in 2010.

DESCRIPTION:DYNAFIT VAIL HILLCLIMB PRESENTED BY VAIL’S MOUNTAIN HAUS.\n  \n\n\n\nRACE INFORMATION\nNamed best trail race by Colorado Runner Magazine in 2006 and 2011\, the Dynafit HillClimb tests local\, regional and national runners with a 7.7 mile climb from Vail Village to Mid-Vail. \nThe Dynafit Vail HillClimb will begin at 7 a.m. in Vail Village – next to Vail’s Mountain Haus – and finish at Mid-Vail after ascending over 2\,200 vertical feet.  Race participants will follow the historic gravel double-track route that has made the Dynafit HillClimb a favorite among trail running enthuasists. The race course will head east from Eagle’s Nest and end at the newly relocated finish line at Mid-Vail. \nGondola One in Vail Village\, which accesses Mid-Vail\, is open for spectators to ride to the top for FREE from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. All friends and family who are going to spectate will need to pick up a free voucher for gondola access good for that morning only at bib pick up the day before the race or on race morning at registration.  Failure to load the gondola by 7:30 a.m. will forfit access to Mid-Vail without paying a daily scenic ride ticket for $34. Dogs or other pets are not permitted to load the gondola. Post-race\, the gondola will be free for racers and spectators to download to Vail Village. \nThe Dynafit HillClimb is presented by the Vail Mountain Haus and is the third race of the 2019 Vail Trail Running Series. Then it’s onto the bikes for a challenging loop around the Torbay area and finally a stunning out and back off-road coast run over towards Brixham. \nBe warned it’s a tough course. The first 6 miles of the bike course is rolling but then you hit Parliament Hill which averages 11 percent and another climb before the super-fast descent towards the finish (although if you’re doing the Standard Distance you have to do it all over again in your second lap).
