DESCRIPTION:What is SwimRun?\n\n\nParticipants traverse through a pre-marked course in nature alternating between running and swimming. Swim legs may consist of long open ocean swims\, rocky rivers or crystal-clear lakes while runs are on anything from roads\, fire trails\, technical rock scrambles or whatever nature puts in front of you. Athletes typically participate as a two-person team of men\, women or mixed but individual options are also available. \n​ \nAs a team\, you must remain within 10-meters of each other\, this is not a relay. You share the experience\, the fun\, the beauty and the suffering. \n​ \nRules permit swim aids such as hand paddles\, pull buoys\, even fins if you are so inclined but there are no transition areas and all gear must stay with you for the entire course so choose wisely. DESCRIPTION:Langkawi Island\, the Jewel of Kedah\, is set to host the new IRONMAN 70.3 Langkawi in 2019.\nRace along the pristine coast of Langkawi – the paradise tropical island of Malaysia. \nThe Event Experience\nThe ocean swim starts from the picturesque white sandy beach of Pantai Kok with a triangle out and back course. A one-loop bike course heads out of Pantai Kok on to a clockwise loop from towards the rolling hills of Datai and the fringes of Kuah Town. Athletes will return from the bike into an unique indoor air conditioned transition at the Mahsuri International Exhibition Center (next to the airport) . DESCRIPTION:This route is no joke. It’s one of the hardest mile-for-mile routes around. The route utilizes flowy singletrack (15%)\, double track (15%)\, and beautiful gravel(30%) roads whenever possible. The approximately 40% paved roads that make up the rest of the route are a welcome reprieve that provide nice scenery and opportunities to gain some speed. The route is 99% rideable with only one 3/4-mile hike-a-bike early in the loop. \nThe group ride is a friendly\, not a race. If you want to go as fast as you can\, go for it. But there’s nothing for you at the end except first dibs on the hot tub and some of Ginni’s cooking… both of which are worth riding fast for. DESCRIPTION:The Great Buddhist Master trail Marathon is more than a run\, this is about a whole Nepalese experience. \nFirstly enjoy the intoxicating and exhilarating city of Kathmandu\, See the sunrise over the city from Swayambhuath (The Monkey Temple) and experience a culture so different to ours at Pashupatinath where you will witness cremations alongside the Holy river Bagmati. \n\n\nIt is all off road (no tarmac in sight for miles)   You will twist and turn onto little tracks and pass through tiny villages at the foot of the Himalayas to the amusement of the locals! \nIn November the village is at it’s best with mustard fields in full colour\, orange trees in bloom and clear visibility to the snow capped mountains above.  It is truly spectacular. \n\n\nThe Manegau village sits at the foot of the Himalayas and the landscape is simply stunning. It is like stepping into a different world. You will be welcomed by the locals as you run or walk through their villages\, and eat freshly prepared traditional homemade Nepalese cuisine. \nAfter a challenging run/walk there will be a prize giving ceremony followed by a traditional Nepalese party under the stars. This trip is intimate with only 20 participants each time as it is not a commercial run.
