SUMMARY:Challenge Taiwan Full
DESCRIPTION:The swim course is set for Flowing Lake in TaiTung.\nThe two-lap swim is in a man-made reservoir with easy views for spectators to watch from the shore. The course starts from a pontoon in an anti-clockwise direction with a total of two turn buoys. The average water depth for most of the course is 2.5m. The swim course is in crystal clear water from a natural spring and mild temperatures. \nThe following rules will apply to the swim:\nWetsuit: to be confirmed at race briefing.\nEvent swim cap: compulsory and is provided at registration check-in. \nTransition 1 (T1)\nExiting the swim course at Flowing Lake\, you will need to collect your T1 (swim to bike) bag and proceed to either the men’s or women’s changing tents. Once you have changed into your cycling gear\, please place all of your swim gear in your T1 bag and leave at the collection point. One of the Volunteers will collect your T1 bag which will be placed at your bike. Bikes will be pre-racked (by you) the day before the race in numerical order. Your helmet must be clipped on before unracking your bike\, and you must proceed on foot to exit T1 and head out onto the bike course. \n  \n\nBIKE – 180km​\n\n \n\nThe 180km bike is set on an undulating two-lap course which heads north between the soaring Carp Mountains and spectacular Pacific Ocean coastline.\nThe course heads out of town over ZhongHua bridge and hits the coast shortly after XiaoYeLiu. After which it continues along Taiwan’s beautiful east coast rolling through Doulan and turning around BaWonWon to head back to TaiTung city to then turnaround for a second lap. \nAid Stations\nAid stations on the bike will be approximately 20km apart. These will have bike bottles with sports drink or water in them. Energy bars\, salty snacks and bananas will also be available from specific aid stations. \nDrafting\nIf you are caught drafting you will be penalized and/or disqualified. Please attend the Race Briefing for clarification on our drafting rules. \nTransition 2 (T2)\nOnce you come to the end of the bike\, you must dismount before you enter T2 and walk your bike to your numbered rack. You must once again collect your T2 bag (bike to run) and proceed back to the men’s or women’s change tents to prepare for the run. Once again\, put all of your cycling gear in your T2 bag and leave it at the collection point where our staff will collect it and place it at your bike after the race. \n\n\nRUN – 42.2km​\n\nThe run combines the cultural heart of Taitung city with the beautiful Pipa Lake Park\, the surrounding tranquil rice fields and orchards and vibrant ocean promenade.\nAid Stations\nAid stations will be positioned approximately every 2.5km on the run. DESCRIPTION:Renamed as the Kendal ‘Castle’ triathlon\, this event will take you round Kendal Castle. This is a great first sprint distance triathlon. \nYou’ll start with a 400m swim in the pool and then transition to your bike for an out and back route which has a timed out neutral zone. Finally\, a 5km off-road run using the route of the old canal for a short distance then onto woodland trails and the grassy slopes up to the Castle ruins before returning to the centre for congratulations and of course your well earned medal. \nIn whole the event is a 400m swim\, 18km road bike and 5km run. It’s ideal for first timers or experienced and elite racers\, to start the season with a flourish! DESCRIPTION:IMS are\, once more\, taking on the Nohtaram\, running the London Marathon in reverse the night before the race\, and we want you to be a part of it. \nYou can join us for the whole thing\, the second half or cheering on at the main event. \nBEFORE:\nWe will be meeting at 1:45am next to Nelson’s Column on Trafalgar Square to walk to the start on The Mall and set off at 2am. \nDURING:\nIn true Impact Marathon style\, we will be running together as a big group with plenty of chatting and laughing the whole way.\nKit – whatever you are comfortable in. We want to run self-sufficient so if you have a backpack you run in for water and food then bring it along. \nHALFWAY POINT – TOWER BRIDGE: \nIf you want to join us at half way for the second 13.1 miles to the finish we will be at Tower Bridge at 4:45am. Let us know if you are going to meet us there and we can exchange numbers on whatsapp. \nAFTER:\nWe will be heading to Bill’s in Greenwich for a big breakfast and heaps of coffee before heading back out to support and cheer everyone on the course. SUMMARY:Kirkbride Half Marathon
DESCRIPTION:The route starts and finishes close to The White Heather Hotel. This course is best described as flat and is a must for anyone looking for a PB. The roads are quiet country roads and very flat with one small climb that gives you a nice downhill run towards the finish. SUMMARY:Horwich Pool Triathlon
DESCRIPTION:Horwich Triathlon is known as ‘The Race To The Pike’. It’s one of the oldest triathlon events in the North West\, dating back over 25 years. It starts with a 500m pool swim and then a 40k undulating cycle ride\, but we save the best bit until the end. The 8.6k run climbs all the way to the summit of Rivington Pike\, before descending back to the finish at Horwich Leisure Centre. We have all ability levels taking part\, but it’s not for the faint hearted. It’s a tough challenge\, but that’s what makes the event so popular and whilst the run is brutal\, it’s what makes is iconic. \nThis event is also the EPIC Club Championships\, your club can score points by having more competitors in the event and finishing higher up the ranks. SUMMARY:Horwich Pool Triathlon
DESCRIPTION:Horwich Triathlon is known as ‘The Race To The Pike’. It’s one of the oldest triathlon events in the North West\, dating back over 25 years. It starts with a 500m pool swim and then a 40k undulating cycle ride\, but we save the best bit until the end. The 8.6k run climbs all the way to the summit of Rivington Pike\, before descending back to the finish at Horwich Leisure Centre. We have all ability levels taking part\, but it’s not for the faint hearted. It’s a tough challenge\, but that’s what makes the event so popular and whilst the run is brutal\, it’s what makes is iconic. \nThis event is also the EPIC Club Championships\, your club can score points by having more competitors in the event and finishing higher up the ranks. DESCRIPTION:The Kirroughtree Hillbilly Duathlon\, Junior event\, is a Run and Mountain Bike Duathlon organised by local volunteers. \nThere are 2 categories: \n\n8 – 11 years who compete over a 500m run and a 3km bike section;\n12 – 15 years compete over a 3km run and an 8km bike section (All distances are approximate).\n\nCompetitors can enter individually and do both the run and the bike sections or in a team of one runner and one biker. \nThe Mountain Bike Stage of the Junior Hillbilly Duathlon will take place over Blue Graded Trails. Blue Grades are suitable for Intermediate cyclists or Mountain Bikers with basic off-road riding skills and for Mountain Bikes or Hybrid bikes. \nCompetitors must provide their own trail worthy bikes and must be wearing a helmet when competing. DESCRIPTION:This is a small and deservedly popular and well established pool-based Triathlon event. The ethos of the event is very much taking part\, with a wide range of abilities taking part each year. Bute Triathlon is a novice and sprint triathlon in and around the town of Rothesay in the Clyde Estuary. Come join us for a fund weekend and a bit of sport. \nEvent momentos to all participants; fabulous buffet afterwards. Results will be posted online as soon as possible within 24 hours of the event. This is a great location and triathlon course\, with fabulous views on the cycle leg and a terrific run course…and a great atmosphere. Come on and sample the Isle of Bute!

SUMMARY:Kirroughtree Hillbilly Duathlon
DESCRIPTION:The Kirroughtree Hillbilly Duathlon consists of a 10km run followed by an 18km mountain bike around the flowing trails of the Galloway Forest Park in South West Scotland. \nThe run follows walkers paths and forest road\, with the mountain bike route sticking to the Seven Stanes Red route. (The Twister). \nThe start\, transition and finish will be at the Kirroughtree Visitor Centre. All routes will be signed\, supported by marshals with radio coverage and mobile first aid. Chip timing with split run bike times. \nTeam options:\nIndividual male/female or team of two\, male/female/mixed\, one runner and one biker. \nEntrants wishing to withdraw must inform the organiser by email. Entry fees will be refunded as follows. Up to one month before the event date\, cost of entry minus £5. Within one month of the event date no refunds available. Transfer of entry is available within the month before the event date. This must be done by email. \nEntrants must be aged 16 or over.
