DESCRIPTION:The World’s Highest Extreme Triathlon in Nepal began in the Himalayans. \nThe Roof Of The World\nHimalayanXtri is a new extreme long-distance triathlon to come to Nepal in South Asia and the first in the region as part of the XTRI World Tour. \nNepal embodies the very definition of the words extreme and diverse. Home to the great Himalayas and 8 of the world’s top 10 highest mountains\, giant glaciers\, subtropical forests\, and sweeping arid deserts. It is about the closeness of sharing the day with your support and crew. It is about community. But never forget. This race is seriously extreme. Nothing in Nepal is flat! \n  \n3.8km swim\, 175km bike\, 43km run \n4\,000m highest point\n 8\,800m overall elevation gain\nSwim \nThe 3.8km swim will start at 04.00 at Lake Phewa\, Pokhara. It will be a night swim and will require wetsuits. The water will be about 15 degrees Celsius. \nBike\nThe 175km road bike ride is all on asphalt but will  not be suitable for TT bikes. Overall course elevation gain is 5\,260m.  T1 is at 800m altitude.  Highest point is 1\,740m. \nRun\nThe 43km run is entirely off-road. T2 starts at 1\,740m. DESCRIPTION:The Great Buddhist Master trail Marathon is more than a run\, this is about a whole Nepalese experience. \nFirstly enjoy the intoxicating and exhilarating city of Kathmandu\, See the sunrise over the city from Swayambhuath (The Monkey Temple) and experience a culture so different to ours at Pashupatinath where you will witness cremations alongside the Holy river Bagmati. \n\n\nIt is all off road (no tarmac in sight for miles)   You will twist and turn onto little tracks and pass through tiny villages at the foot of the Himalayas to the amusement of the locals! \nIn November the village is at it’s best with mustard fields in full colour\, orange trees in bloom and clear visibility to the snow capped mountains above.  It is truly spectacular. \n\n\nThe Manegau village sits at the foot of the Himalayas and the landscape is simply stunning. It is like stepping into a different world. You will be welcomed by the locals as you run or walk through their villages\, and eat freshly prepared traditional homemade Nepalese cuisine. \nAfter a challenging run/walk there will be a prize giving ceremony followed by a traditional Nepalese party under the stars. This trip is intimate with only 20 participants each time as it is not a commercial run. DESCRIPTION:Back again for 2020 is Alzheimer’s Research UK Norfolk Flyer – a classic Autumn sportive presenting an opportunity to get some pre-winter miles in. Riders will get to cycle on a network of mainly fast\, quiet country lanes that criss-cross the beautiful and gently undulating Norfolk countryside – not forgetting the added grandeur of the Royal Sandringham Estate. More importantly\, this ride supports Cycling Down Dementia; a fundraising event from our 2020 charity ride partner\, Alzheimer’s Research UK. \nStarting in the traditional working market town of Fakenham\, the ride heads out from the Racecourse where epic and standard routes will part ways almost immediately. Our short route heads north-west on this typically flat section of land\, towards the pretty villages of North Creake and onwards west to Great Bircham\, offering a traditional taste of East Anglia with its millponds and flint cottages. \nFor those wishing to clock up the mileage\, our standard route begins with an additional easterly loop from the racecourse crossing the River Wensum before the rolling country terrain opens up. Pedal through quaint villages including Fulmodeston\, Hindringham and Binham\, briefly skirting into the gorgeous Norfolk Coast AONB. \nShortly after Little Walsingham\, the epic route re-joins the standard route\, passing Stanhoe and Great Bircham. You’ll pedal westward as far as the village of Snettisham\, just 5-miles from the coast and within a stone’s throw of the Snettisham RSPB Nature Reserve. \nRemaining inland\, save enough in the tank to turn south and enter the tree-lined grounds of the Royal Sandringham Estate\, which always looks grand in Autumn colours. A perfect way to be part of a live event (without any mass gathering!) \nBelow is a brief on how it works but sign up to our Richmond Upon Thames challenge. You choose what time you fancy starting your run (start can be any time between 8am and 10am) You decide which CheckPoint you want to start from! There typically is parking at each location. DESCRIPTION:The Paluma Dam Trail Run on Sunday\, 28 October 2018 starts and finishes at the village green in the Paluma township\, north west of Townsville\, Queensland. \nThere is an array of trails around the village crossing creek\, passing waterfalls and lookouts. Paluma is cooler than the coastal region and it makes for great trail running in October. \nThere is a 6km short course\, 10km intermediate course\, and 20km long course. Trail running comes with some risk\, running in the rain forest and on remote takes a certain skill and fitness level. Please make sure you are up to the distance you wish to run.

DESCRIPTION:The Osprey Sprint “Spring Race” is set to put good use to those winter months of training before the first open water swim events. \nThis is a perfect event for newcomers to the sport of triathlon and a fantastic start to the season for the more experienced athlete. The facilities at the Osprey Centre are perfect for a pool based triathlon with secure racking for the bikes\, chip timing by FullOnSport\, a beautiful and scenic bike ride and a fantastic flat off-road coastal run. \nThe Legacy cafe will be open during the event for spectators and competitors alike. \nPlease make sure you input your estimated swim time as accurately as possible when going through the online entry system as this will decide your swim group start time. This race will be chip timed so there will be NO wave starts. Each competitor will start 10 seconds after each other in one continual wave in the pool. \nAll information will be emailed out to you\, everything you need will be given to you at registration. \nWhether this is your first triathlon or you are a seasoned athlete this will definitely be a fantastic start of season race. \nEach competitor will receive a custom race medal and one of our customs made buffs too.
