DESCRIPTION:Yerevan Marathon 2018 Event\nCOCA-COLA YEREVAN MARATHON AT A GLANCE\nYerevan Marathon is an annual long-distance running event organized in Yerevan\, capital of Armenia\, and is the successor of Yerevan Half Marathon organized in 2015\, 2016 and 2017. On October 21\, 2018 for the first time\, in addition to Half marathon and shorter distances Yerevan will host a full Marathon distance. \nGeneral Sponsor of the event is Coca-Cola HBC Armenia. Coca-Cola Yerevan Marathon is organized by Arm Marathon Foundation\, Yerevan City Administration\, TriClub multisport club and the Coca-Cola HBC Armenia. \nThe Marathon starts in the very center of Yerevan\, near Republic square. Route takes runners through beautiful central streets of Yerevan and to Hrazdan River gorge\, later returning to start location. \nThe Half Marathon route is precisely measured and certified by AIMS. Marathon route awaits certification. All runner results are measure with precise timing equipment (Mylaps). \nEvent is open to runners of all abilities\, they can choose from one of the four distances\n1km kids run – for children on 3 to 12 years (children under 7 years must be accompanied by parents)\n5km – for runners 13 years old and older\n11\,5km – for runners 16 years old and older\n21\,1km – for runners 18 years old and older\n42\,2 km – for runners 18 years old and older \nAGENDA\nArm Marathon Foundation organizes a number of running events in Armenia throughout the year. Yerevan Marathon is the main event of the series\, with the largest number of participants from  \nArmenia and abroad. Important information about the run: \n– Supports charities\, runners can contribute to selected charities and make social impact\n– Aimed to promote healthy lifestyle in Armenia\n– Aimed to promote sports tourism in Armenia\n– Open to runners with all abilities\, distances from 1km for kids to 42 km\n– Measured by MyLaps professional timing equipment\n– Precisely measured and certified with AIMS (21\,1km distance)\, pending certification for 42\,2km \nRACE OVERVIEW\nCoca-Cola Yerevan Marathon is organized within the city limits of Yerevan. Altitude of the race is between 970 and 1070 meters. Total elevation gains are for 21\,1km – 165m\, and for 42\,2km – 300m \nTemperature ranges for the race time has historically ranged between 10 and 20 degrees centigrade. \n \nCANCELLATIONS\nEntry fees are non-refundable. Participant and distance changes are possible no later October 14\, 2018. For changes to smaller distances participation fee difference is not refundable. For changes to longer distances participation fee difference must be paid at the EXPO\, or to bank account of Arm Marathon Foundation. For changes and inquiries please email info@armeniamarathon.org. \nPACKET PICK-UP\nRace Pack pick up will happen on October 20\, 2018\, 10:00 – 19:00. Location to TBD. Participants must present a valid ID to receive their racing packs. \nSTART\, COURSE\, AND FINISH\n– Start Date: October 21\, 2018.\n– Start Location: Shahumyan Square\, Yerevan\, Armenia. Finish and Start location are the same.\n– Official Route of 42\,2km and 21\,1 km run is through the Yerevan city center and gorge of Hrazdan river. \nAID STATIONS\nWater / food stations are located every 4-5 km. Stations serve water\, Coca Cola\, isotonic drinks\, fruits\, and energy gels. Medical aid is available at the Start/Finish area\, at the 5km\, 12km\, 24km\, 36km points. \nRules & Regulations \nAWARDS\nAll participants who reach the finish line will receive finisher’s medals \nAbsolute three winners for men and women’s in\n42km\, 21km\, 10km\, 5km and 1km kids run will get special awards. \nAward winners and runners-up are identified upon finish line crossing \nAge group winners in each distance will be awarded with certificate. \nEach age group awardees are determined based on chip time.  \nAwards will be given in age group categories: \n \nEVENT SCHEDULE\nOCTOBER 20\, 2018 – EXPO\, Race pack pickup\, location TBD \nLOCATION: TBD \n10:00–19:00 — EXPO open hours: race pack pickup by registered participants \n17:00 – 21:00– Pasta party (for 21km and 42km participants) \nOCTOBER 21\, 2018 – RACE DAY \n7:30 — Start/Finish line location open; changing and storage rooms open \n8:00 — Start of 42\,2km run \n9:00 — Start of the 1 km kids run 9:30 — Warm-Up \n10:00 — Start of 21\,1 km\, 11\,5 km and 5km run \n12:30 — Award Ceremonies \n13:30 — Close of the finish line \n14:00 — Close of start area \nIMPORTANT: To receive the racing pack participants must present a valid ID.
