The Sparkasse Marathon is organized in accordance with the regulations of the Austrian/German Athletic Associations (ÖLV&DLV) and the IAAF. Accompanying vehicles (automobiles\, Bicycles\, motorcycles) are prohibited on the course. Wheel chairs and all other rolling devices are not allowed. Pets and animals are also forbidden. The course surface is asphalted or graded. During some of the stages\, it will be necessary to run on the opposite side of the road\, please be vigilant. Be aware of fellow runners and keep a necessary distance\,especially when passing. \nTime measurement \nTime is measured exclusively with Mika timing and the champion chip. With your registration you can choose between your own champion chip (add details when making registration)\, buy your own personel champion chip for 28\,00 EURO or rent a chip for 3\,00 EURO for the race. \nRented chips must be returned in the finish area after the race\, not returned chips will be charged to the participant with a amount of 25\,00 EURO. \nNo time measurement without “Champion Chip”. \nFair-play-Initiative of austrian running event organizer \nAustrian running event organizer and the national anti doping agency are cooperating in prevetation\, information and educational advertising in all area of doping and medication abuse. Doping controls will be held individually through “intelligent testing”. Join the fay-play-initiatve and say no to doping. Doping is a health risk. \nStart \nMarathon\nOctober 7 th 2018 at 10:30 am\nStarting line harbour of Island Lindau (GER) \nAll runners start at 10.30 am in Lindau(GER) harbour. Due to limited parking for cars and buses available at the start area in Lindau\, it is recommended that all runners should arrive in Bregenz. Here you will find plenty of parking. For your information\, we have placed a map of Lindau(GER) and Bregenz in your starter pack. \nThere will be continuous train and ferry transfers from 8am-9.30am for all runners free of charge from Bregenz harbour directly to Island Lindau harbour (GER). Last train tranfer from Bregenz harbour to Island Lindau harbour at 10.20am. The transfer takes approximately 20 min ferry and 10 min train (please check the timetable attached to the document). \nStarter package \nthe starter package (race number incl. bib\, info\,..) is handed out only on Friday October 5 th from 2pm until 7pm\, on Saturday October 6 th from 9am until 7pm and Sunday October 7 th from 7am until 10 am at the “Inselhalle” in Lindau. The starter package will not be sent by mail. Late registration is possible on Sunday. \nChange-room facility \nPlease use the changing and toilet facilities\, which are clearly marked\, at the starting area.  \nPlease take your change of clothing to the lorry marked with your race number\, which are stationed on the “Reichsplatzt” (see start plan). Please use carry bag you received with your starting package displaying your race number for change of clothing (only this bag will be accepted). Do not place any valuables or breakables in the bag\, as the organizers will not be held responsible for loss or damage. The change of clothing will be transported to finish point in the Casino stadium in Bregenz. \nImportant: Be sure to hand in your change of clothing bag by 10.20am as the departure is at 10.45am. No late bags can be transported after this time\, because the roads are blockaded. \nStarting list \nThere will be various starting blocks at the starting line depending on your best time previous run. The number of your starting block is on your running number. You should be at your starting block by 10:30. There will be personal to advice you. \nWarm up \nOn the Stage close to the staring line\, you will be entertained from 9am by our radio Vorarlberg DJ. Don’t miss this exciting warm up opportunity! \nFinish line \nCasino Stadium in Bregenz – finish line \nFinish line closes at 5 pm October 7 th 2018 \nOnce you have crossed the finish line (Timingmat) your time will be automatically registered.Please keep the finishing line clear and proceed directly to the marked area. \nHere you will receive your medal\, refreshments and first aid assistance. \nResults \nThe list of results will be displayed at the Info Point\, in the Casino stadium. The bag can only be collected with your race number\, by latest 6pm. Any unclaimed bags can be collected at the info point (Casino Stadium) until 7pm. \nThe clearly marked (see map) showering and changing facilities are at the indoor pool (Hallenbad) for women and at the outdoor pool (showertent) for men. \nSelf-refreshment \nShould you have special requirements for drinks and snacks during the marathon it is possible for the organizers to place these at the refreshment points 10\, 15\, 20\, 25\, 30\, 35. Please hand in these items (no glas!) with your name\, race number and refreshment point number where you want it to be delivered on Friday and Saturday in the Inselhalle in Lindau\, when collecting your starters pack. \nDepending on the number of these requests there could be delays finding your items at the refreshment point. \nNote that only one sponge is given at the start and this must kept for the entire marathon. \nRunners refreshment \nYou will be taken care of before\, during and after the marathon. At the finish line you will find refreshments at the “Sutterlüty” care center. \ndownload: Refreshment-points as PDF (18KB) \nShip transfer \nOn Sunday\, all runners can use the fleet of the “Vorarlberg Lines” for transfer from Bregenz habour to Lindau harbour free of charge. Spectators can get a return ticket for 7\,00 Euro. \nTime-tabel: from Bregenz habour  8.10am\, 8.25am\, 9.20am\, 9.35am. \nmportant:runners must be at the starting line latest by 10.45am. \nHealth service \nAt the back of your race number\, you will find your “first aid form”. Participants from abroad must fill in their residential address (hotel)\, room number and telephone number. \nThere will be medical assistance at the starting line\, throughout the marathon rout and at the finish line\, casino stadium Bregenz. \nMedical assistance \nShould you require medical assistance try to reach next first aid point\, where you will receive the necessary care. Should you withdrawal during the marathon there will be busses to transfer you to the stadium in Bregenz free of charge \nInt. Emergency-valuation \nAdditional Emergency-valuation for all catergories only for members of emergency agencies. \nTerms and condition \nNeither the organiser nor its representatives and other authorised persons can be held responsible for any form of damage or injury incurred as a result of participation in the marathon and accompanying events\, except in the case of the above persons having caused these intentionally or as a result of grave negligence. This also applies to sponsors and the owners of private paths and their representatives. This exemption from liability also applies to accompanying persons. \nEntrants declare that they are in a fit state of health\, have trained to a sufficient standard to partake\, and are in possession of a doctor’s certificate of health. DESCRIPTION:International WACHAUmarathon 2018\nThe International WACHAUmarathon is back! \nThe race officially begins on Sunday at 10:00 on the B3 in Emmersdorf near the recreational center. \nThe WACHAUmarathon running route is enjoyed and appreciated by thousands of hobby runners due to its flat topography. There is hardly an easier and faster stretch than the one between Emmersdorf and Krems. Beginners especially appreciate when there is a running event with no hill or mountain. These ideal topographical conditions enable them to more easily achieve their own personal running goals.  \nOn the other hand  the WACHAUmarathon can offer performance-oriented runners the perfect conditions for a fast race. In this way the  Wachau “track” especially promotes personal best performances. \nOVERVIEW\nThe marathon starts in Emmersdorf at 10 a.m. at the same time than the halfmarathon gets started in Sptiz. The marathon route goes upstream from Emmerdorf on the B3 until the small village of Weitenegg\, where the runners will get to the road next to the beautiful danube and turn downstream back to the starting point in Emmersdorf. From there on the route follows the B3 until reaching Krems. In Krems you won’t have to run through the city any more which makes the marathon both: more attractive and faster \nStart in Emmersdorf\nThe starting line is directly next to the roundabout that leads to the bridge over the Danube to Melk. The parking lot in front of Emmerdorf’s sport center is the perfect place to meet before the starting signal. \nBe there and experience the unique flair of the marathon start in Emmersdorf with a view of the Melk Abbey. \nYou have three options for getting to the marathon start in Emmersdorf an der Donau. Bus and trains are included in the entry fee. \nYou should choose a travel option at registration. This will be printed on your bib number with a symbol and the time. \nPlease be aware that the road through the Wachau is closed on the day of the event as of 8:00 and can no longer be driven. \nBaggage Transport\nBaggage transport will be carried out by busses located near the starting area and marked with your event and bib number. \nPlease have your bib number at hand when dropping off and picking up baggage. Baggage may be deposited beginning an hour before the event until at the latest 10 minutes before the start. \nAt the finish line the busses will be located near the conference halls. Please follow the signs. \nWe inform you that only clothing bags distributed by the organizer and marked with name and number will be transported\, We take no responsibility for lost articles\, most especially including clothing sacks and the valuables deposited in them.  \nEnergy stations along the route\nCatering during the run is an important element in any runner’s success. For this reason the WACHAUmarathon team works hard every year to provide the ideal availability of liquids and food along the route. \nWorking with our partners we are able to set up 11 Hydration/Energy Stations along the entire marathon route. \nDuring the marathon you can refill your energy reserves at  \nKM 5 (no personal drinks) / KM 7.5 / KM 11.7 / KM 15.4 / KM 20.0 / KM 23.1 / KM 25.1 / KM 28.7 / KM 32.5 / KM 35.0 / KM 36.9 (no personal drinks) / KM 39.4 \nSelf Catering Marathon\nSelf-catering for the marathon (not available for the half marathon) can be deposited on Saturday\, Sept 16\, 11:00-18:00 at the information stand at the WACHAUmarathon EXPO (Krems conference center) or on Sunday\, Sept 17\, 9:00-9:30 at the marathon start in Emmersdorf. Containers (NO GLAS!) must be clearly marked with name\, bib number\, and catering station. \nCatering stations along the course: \nKM 5.0 (no self-catering) / KM 7.5 / KM 11.7 / KM 15.4 / KM 20.0 / KM 23.1 / KM 25.1 / KM 28.7 / KM 32.5 / KM 35.0 / KM 36.9 (no self-catering) / KM 39.4 \nAttention: the self-catering table is the first one at the hydration/energy stations. \nINTERNATIONAL WACHAU MARATHON TRIVIA\nSo far\, national championships were held three times under the Wachau Marathon. In 2002\, Max Wenisch as total seventh in the men (2:27:48) and Veronika Kienbichl as total Eighth Women (2:53:09) Austrian Marathon champion. In 2007\, the overall winner Eva-Maria Gradwohl Austrian champion in the half marathon\, while for men the title to the total Third Martin Pröll went (1:05:31). 2010 won the overall bronze medalist Andrea Mayr in a time of 1:14:21 hours the national title in the half marathon\, while for men the overall Seventh Weidlinger won with a time of 1:04:59 hours.

DESCRIPTION:Vienna City Marathon 2018\nMore than 42\,000 runners from 130 nations will be taking part in the Vienna City Marathon\, cheered on by hundreds of thousands of spectators. \nThe Vienna City Marathon takes you to Vienna’s most impressive modern and historic sights. It starts between the skyscrapers of the UNO complex\, the site of the United Nations. Straight after the start\, participants cross the 864 metre long Imperial Bridge (Reichsbrücke) over the River Danube\, accompanied by the world famous melody of the Danube Waltz by Johann Strauß.  \nThe race takes you past the Riesenrad or giant ferris wheel\, through the green expanse of Prater Park.
