DESCRIPTION:Run Barbados Marathon\nPresenting the 35th edition of Run Barbados. Races include: Cave Shepherd Marathon\, Fortress Half-Marathon\, Colombian Emeralds Int’l 10K\, Cave Shepherd Visa Credit Card 5K\, Ganzee 5K Walk for Charity (supporting the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Barbados) and the Signia Fun Mile. \nRun Barbados boasts “Starts and Finishes” by the sea\, spectacular scenery along coastal roads and historic routes through a UNESCO World Heritage site! Enjoy local steel pan on the routes\, run through the finish\, collect your medal and jump into the crystal waters of the magnificent Carlisle Bay\, a protected marine park lined with a mile of white sand beach.  \nHighlights include: Five running races over three days\, pasta party\, finisher medals\, chip timing\, steel pan on routes\, island style entertainment\, beach party\, cash prizes in 10K\, Half and Marathon and more.  \nEighty percent of our competitors join us from across the globe. In 2016 we welcomed recreational to elite runners from Canada\, USA\, France\, Spain\, Germany\, Malaysia\, Colombia\, Venezuela\, UK\, Sweden and many Caribbean islands.
