There is an additional feed station at Sywell Village Hall for the XL and XXL\, where you can top up water bottles and grab a snack. The event has mechanical support.

SUMMARY:London - Paris Cycle Ride 2018
DESCRIPTION:London – Paris Cycle Ride 2018\nOur route takes us from London’s Trafalgar Square to the heart of Paris. Cycling through stunning countryside and quiet country roads. Below is an itinerary of the days\, routes and distances.\nA link at the bottom of the page (once registration is open) will take you to relevant websites to register for the ride\, book transport and accommodation. Please note there are limited places. Transport details for the ferry from Newhaven to Dieppe and the Eurostar train back to London should be booked in advance of the ride.  \nOnce final numbers have been confirmed a group will be set up to discuss the final plans and arrangements. If you have any questions regarding this ride please contact Gavin at twcycleandsocialclub@gmail.com \nApproximate travel and accommodation costs for the ride:\n1) Newhaven to Dieppe Crossing: £28.00 (Pp including 1 bicycle)\n2) Accommodation in Beauvais: £40.00 (will be booked as a group\, once final numbers have been confirmed)\n3) Eurostar from Paris Gare du Nord to London St Pancras: £88.00 (remember to book a bicycle on too) \nDAY 1: LONDON TO NEWHAVEN\nFRIDAY 13 JULY. RIDE STARTS AT 4:00PM\nDISTANCE: 57MILES (92KM)\nOur challenge begins from Trafalgar Square at 4pm\, heading south en route to the coast at Newhaven. The route takes us through East Grinstead and Lewes before reaching the coast. The distance is 57miles. From Newhaven we catch the ferry to Dieppe for our first overnight stop. \nTo book the ferry crossing go to DFDS Ferry: https://ferry.dfdsseaways.co.uk/faresnew \nDAY 2: DIEPPE TO BEAUVAIS\nSATURDAY 14 JULY. RIDE STARTS AT 5:00AM\n68 MILES (109KM)\nWe arrive early into Dieppe at 5am. Heading south along Avenue Verte du Pays de Bray. This wonderful stretch of the Avenue Verte transports you from Dieppe across the Pays de Bray\, a stunning part of Normandy\, with rich farmlands stetching across wide green rolling hills arriving into Beauvais at around lunch time.  \nOvernight stay in Beauvais\nAccommodation has been booked through Airbnb in Beauvais which sleeps X people. RIDE STARTS 8:00AM\n73 MILES (117KM)\nOur final day of cycling and the big push to Paris! We are still treated to some stunning countryside all the way up to our lunch spot by the River Seine at Triel-sur-siene After lunch we follow the river down through the suburbs until we reach Versailles and then head into the centre of Paris. From here it’s a short ride before reaching our finishing point at the Eiffel Tower! \nDAY 3: PARIS TO LONDON ON THE EUROSTAR\nSUNDAY 15 JULY. TRAIN DEPARTS 4:13PM\nAfter lunch and an afternoon break in Paris we will make our way to the Gare du Nord station to catch the Eurostar home arriving at St Pancras or Ebbsfleet. We have estimated a departure of around 4pm\, however it is up to you when you’d like to head back to the UK. DESCRIPTION:Cycling Tours Malaysia – 430KM – Kota Kinabalu – Sipitang – Tenom – Tambunan – Kota Kinabalu \nDATES: 4th July – 9th July  2018 – 6 Days 5 Nights. \n Riding Dates: 5th – 8th July 2018 \nTotal Distance: 430km \nItinerary DETAILS \nDAY 1 (18th June) – Arrival at Kota Kinabalu followed by dinner to meet fellow riders \, followed by a briefing of the course\, safety and the ride. \nDAY 2 (19th June) – Gears in the support vehicles . Ride from Kota Kinabalu to Tanjung Aru Station  (not far from Tanjung Aru Beach) .  Start of ride to Papar  then to Sipitang.  Approximate distance 170km.  The ride is relatively flat with slight undulation. Riders who are unable to complete the ride can hop onto one of the support vehicles. \nStay at KAKA HOMESTAY. All meals will be at the local coffee shop or pre packed. \nDAY 3 – (20th June) Sipitang – Tenom Depart by 7.30am to Tenom\, Padas Farm Stay.\n68km Undulating hills. Check into Padas Farm stay. DESCRIPTION:La Fleche Wallonne 2018\nThe one-day cycling classic La Fleche Wallonne is one of three ‘Ardennes classics’ and has been part of the UCI world rankings calendar since 2009. It takes place every April in the Wallonia region of Belgium\, and is currently staged midweek between the Amstel Gold Race and Liège–Bastogne–Liège.  \nThe finish of the race featured three laps of a circuit including the tough Mur de Huy climb\, with several sections steeper than 15% and one section rising to 26%. The finish was at the top of the Mur after the third ascent. \nThe “Finish”on the Mur de Huy is the ‘place to be’ to watch all the action and the outcome of this race. The Mur De Huy is 1.3kms long with an average of 9.6%. It starts easy before ramping up and dropping below 10% with a maximum of 26%.
