Like an illustration in a romantic fairy-tale\, crowning the top of an isolated hill\, the castle turrets and towers rise above the Vale of Belvoir. Looking over the battlements from the North Terrace\, you can see for miles over the counties of Nottinghamshire\, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire. The name Belvoir – meaning ‘beautiful view’ in French\, is pronounced today as ‘beaver’. \n\n\n\nFans of the TV series The Crown will recognise several scenes filmed at Belvoir Castle. This Regency Castle was the perfect fit to recreate the Royals’ residence. \n\n\n\nRaces\n\n\n\nThe Belvoir Castle event will feature some truly iconic courses amidst the 3\,000 acres of naturally designed landscape and a large range of races for all ages and abilities. \n\n\n\nWhether you’re 9 or 90 years old\, a first-timer or an elite\, you can pick from our triathlon\, duathlon\, aquabike\, aquathlon\, run and swim races. \n\n\n\nGoverning Body\n\n\n\nBelvoir Castle Triathlon and Multisport Festival will be a British Triathlon permitted event. If you are taking part in a triathlon or multisport event\, you are required to provide your race licence or obtain a BTF Race Pass.

DESCRIPTION:The Brynkinalt Running Festival brings together an active community of people taking part in sporting events for reasons ranging from fitness\, competition\, charity\, health\, fun or to simply finish. The participants vary of all ages and all abilities of trail runner. \n\n\n\nThe festival offers runners the chance to run 5k (approx) and 10k (approx) in the amazing surroundings of the Brynkinalt Estate. We offer canicross on the Saturday and standard running on the Sunday. \n\n\n\n RACE HQ START / FINISH\n\n\n\nThis will in front of the stunning Brynkinalt Hall/Brynkinalt\, Wrexham LL14 5NS. *Please note Brynkinalt Estate is on Private land\, under no circumstances will you be able to run the route at any other time. \n\n\n\nRACE DAY SCHEDULE\n\n\n\nCanicross: Saturday 15th March 2025 \n\n\n\nTrail Running: Sunday 16th March 2025 \n\n\n\nPARKING\n\n\n\nBrynkinalt Estate\, Chirk\, Trevor Road\, LL14 5HA (Please arrive from the centre of Chirk on Trevor Road and not the trade entrance at the back) £3 Parking Fee \n\n\n\nAbout the Running Festival\n\n\n\nEach race offers a challenging route for all trail runners. It takes in some breathtaking scenery overlooking the private estate that is normally closed to the public. Once you have completed the run\, you will receive some awesome goodies! \n\n\n\nMinimum Ages\n\n\n\n5k (approx) Min age 12 years old10k (approx) Min age 16 years old \n\n\n\nRace Start / Finish\n\n\n\nThe Race start and finish will be a short walk to the parking area allowing to leave your valuables in your car. We will have music playing and a help desk for any last-minute questions. Please take note that the parking area is on a private estate\, so please be respectful and stick to the runner’s area in front of the hall. \n\n\n\nRace Experience\n\n\n\nWe are keen to ensure that everyone\, regardless of their ability\, enjoys the day. We aim to have 1 water station halfway around the 10k route and by the start and finish area for all runners. Please can we encourage you to bring a suitable bottle to run with. At the finish line we will give you your medal and let you enjoy the festival in the stunning surroundings. We don’t advertise the route due to this being on private land\, we need to respect the landowners wishes. \n\n\n\nRace Routes\n\n\n\nThe stunning routes is made up of all areas of the Brynkinalt Estate. The route offers a great blend of fast footpaths through to grassed areas and the odd small Stoney section. We have a little bit of everything including great climbs with breath- taking views. \n\n\n\nCharity Partner\n\n\n\nThe Movement Centre \n\n\n\nPrizes\n\n\n\nAwards are given to the top 3 females and top 3 males at each distance.
