SUMMARY:The Bridge Children's Triathlon
DESCRIPTION:New swim course for this year’s children’s race. No laps\, just one loop for each race. 50m\, 150m\, 200\, 300\, this will make the swim easier for the children. \n\n\n\nDue to time restrictions we are limited to only 50 in each age race wave. Boys and girls may be racing in the same wave. \n\n\n\nThe children’s race is a stand-alone race now. It was too hard to run it after the adult race. \n\n\n\nWe need to have reopened the road by 10 am so all waves will need to start on time. \n\n\n\nWe will be fencing off all areas this year for safety reasons. We will also be moving the Transition area down to the trees to give us more room. The Finish will also be moved 20m again to give us more room (see site plan) \n\n\n\nRegistration will only open at 5.30am for the children’s race. \n\n\n\nAll children must be at the start area 15 minutes before their wave is due to start. \n\n\n\nStart times will be sent out the week before the race date by e-mail. \n\n\n\nThey will also be posted on the website. \n\n\n\nIf you have any questions\, please feel free to ask before the day of the race. \n\n\n\n\nEstimated start time for each age group.\n\n\n\nThis will be confirmed on 10th July\n\n\n\nTri-Star 4 15/16 6.30 am\n\n\n\nTri-Star 3 13/14 7.30 am\n\n\n\nTri-Star 2 11/12 8.15am\n\n\n\nTri-Star 1 9/10  9.00am\n\n\n\nTri-Start 8     9.30am\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease note this will be a wet suit swim for the children’s race. SUMMARY:Burrator 10K and Kids Races | 1K
DESCRIPTION:Kids race for children aged 3-7 at the stunning Burrator Reservoir with medals for all finishers! \n\n\n\nThe event will be run under UK athletics rules with results appearing on Power of 10. The race is on closed roads and starts right on the Dam bridge. \n\n\n\nThe stunning setting is also perfect for a PB. It starts about 1K south east of the visitor centre and does one complete loop of the reservoir and then two thirds of a second loop before finishing at exactly 10K about 400 metres north of HQ (the visitor centre). The start is now right on the Dam bridge. \n\n\n\nThere are just 90 metres of climbing on this course and a top runner in good conditions could break 30 minutes. However it’s also ideal for fun runners and beginners and many competitors notch up PBs here! \n\n\n\nThis event is part of Burrator 10K and Kids Races. \n\n\n\nEvent Summary\n\n\n\n\nSat 1 Jun 2024\n\n\n\n\n\nSOUTH WEST LAKES TRUST – BURRATOR DISCOVERY CENTRE\, DEVON\n\n\n\n1K | Age 3-7\n\n\n\n17:00 \n\n\n\n£8 \n\n\n\n\nWhat’s Included\n\n\n\n\nFully closed roads\n\n\n\nMedals for all finishers\n\n\n\nFree event photographs\n\n\n\nProfessional first aid\n\n\n\nPublic liability insurance\n\n\n\nPlenty of loos

SUMMARY:Kids on Bikes: Smart Cycling Class
DESCRIPTION:Kids Smart Cycling Class\nKids on Bikes will be hosting a Smart Cycling class as a professional development opportunity for our staff\, but we encourage other community members to participate. The Smart Cycling class may be useful for anyone who hopes to lead group rides\, coach bicycling camps\, volunteer with Kids on Bikes\, or just wants to become a more confident rider. \nFriday\, April 5th: 6pm – 9pm\nThe first section of the class will take place on Friday at the Pedal Station (1026 S Tejon St.) and will cover basic bike maintenance\, bicycling attire and accessories\, and nutrition. Participants only need to bring themselves to this session\, though we do encourage arriving by bike if possible. \nSaturday\, April 6th: 9am – 3pm\nThe second day of the class will take place at the Colorado Springs Sustaina center (704 E Boulder St.) and involves a mix of classroom time\, on-street and trail riding\, and bicycling skill practice. Participants must provide their own bike and helmet. \nWeather Policy: We expect the class to take place rain or shine\, but exceptions may be made if roads are dangerously icy or snowy. There is no make-up date scheduled.
