SUMMARY:Surrey Bacchus Marathon 2021
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate fancy wine\, fancy dress\, and plenty of running in this event at Denbies Wine Estate. With a hog-roast\, wine at drinks stations\, and stunning routes along the way\, this is so much more than just a race. Enjoy live music\, great food\, and a fantastic atmosphere at the Surrey Bacchus Marathon. \nRoute description\nThis undulating\, multi-terrain course takes place within and around the stunning Denbies Wine Estate. All routes offer beautiful views over the Mole Valley\, Ranmore Common and the North Downs\, and runners are welcome to run as quickly as possible or take their time and enjoy the wine sampling stations on the route. \nThe drinks stations are what separates this event from all the others. Not just any old drinks stations\, the last 2 along the route serve wine and food and soft drinks\, and with marathon runners completing 2 laps\, that means double the wine. After the race\, enjoy the hog roast\, where the party carries on well into the evening. \nA completely traffic-free course\, all routes start and finish by the main building at Denbies\, and there’s only one crossing of a major road which marshals will direct. \nHalf Marathon runners will complete 1 lap and Marathon runners 2 laps. \nLogistics and schedule\n08:15 Registration opens \n09:30 Marathon starts \n09:45 1st Half Marathon wave starts \n10:00 2nd Half Marathon wave starts \n10:15 3rd Half Marathon wave starts \n10:30 4th Half Marathon wave starts \n10:45 5th Half Marathon wave starts \n11:00 1st 10k wave starts \n11:15 2nd 10k wave starts \nIt is recommended you arrive at least an hour before your start time to give you time to collect your number in the morning. \nRegistration \nRegistration will be open from 8:15 am on race day\, where runners can collect their race numbers. \nRegistration will take place in the large marquee next to the main building of Denbies\, which will also be the site of the Hog Roast after the event. \nStart Waves \nThere are 5 waves of Half Marathon start times of 400 runners each. Waves will start at 9:45 am in 15-minute increments all the way until 10:45 am. A preferred start wave will be chosen by runners when registering for the event. \nThe 10k has two waves starting at 11 am and 11:15 am. \nCut-off Times \nThere are a strict 2 hours 50-minute cut-off time for the first lap of the Marathon\, and all runners must be able to run a 5 hr 30 mins time. Any runners unable to complete the first lap in this time will be asked to stop and given a Half Marathon finisher’s medal. \nFancy Dress \nMost participants show up in a fancy dress to participate in this fun and friendly event\, so don your best clothes and enjoy the live music and entertainment around the course. \nT-Shirt Sizes \nT-shirts are included in the price of entry for Marathon and Half Marathon runners but not 10k runners. Marathon and Half Marathon runners will have a t-shirt token printed on their numbers to exchange for their t-shirt after crossing the finish line. \nT-shirts are available in 6 sizes and have the following size chest equivalents. \nXS (34″ and below)\nS (34-36″)\nM (38-40″)\nL (40-42″)\nXL (42-44″)\nXXL (44″ and above) \nSpectators\nEntry to the estate is free of charge\, and there will be plenty of parking available for spectators\, so definitely come along and support your friends and family\, all while enjoying the grounds. \nHow to get there\nDenbies Wine Estate\, London Rd\, Dorking RH5 6AA\, UK \nParking \nThere will be free parking at the event site available for runners situated within the Vineyard grounds. SUMMARY:Kids Explorers Mountain Bike Camp
DESCRIPTION:Explorers Mountain Bike Camp\nOur summer Bike Camps offer kids the opportunity to develop overall bicycling and mountain bike skills\, see a variety of terrain\, explore the local trail systems\, and cultivate a love for bicycling at a young age. Proceeds from our bike camps help us fulfill our mission and break down barriers to bicycling all year long. \nThese kids are riding on two wheels\, but are overall new to riding a bicycle and are still young (between ages 4 up to 7). This is a half day camp with lots of skill development games and fun rides to get these kids more confidence and focus on certain aspects of riding.  \nThe goal is to focus on having fun and being safe. At this camp we usually see a single speed bike with coaster brakes and 12-16” wheels.

DESCRIPTION:Family Swim Holiday Mallorca\nAfter 14 years of successful Family Swim Holidays\, we are proud to announce our 2019 Holiday Programme. The Family Swim Holidays 2019 will take place at the fabulous world renowned BEST Centre\, in the beautiful town of Colònia Sant Jordi\, on the southern tip of Mallorca where you will stay just minutes from some of Europe’s most stunning beaches. \nThe swim holiday is designed for swimmers aged 6-18 years old\, who are used to training regularly with a swim team\, (please email us if you have any questions). The holiday will cater for all levels of swimmer from club swimmer to international standard. \nFACILITIES \nThe Pool\nThe centrepiece of The BEST Centre is our outdoor Olympic-sized training pool. The 10 lane\, 50m pool (50m x 25m x 2m) is a free-standing pool from Astra\, who supply the competition pools for the FINA world championships. \nThe Gym\nWe know that a well equipped gym is essential for a successful training camp\, so we have an on-site gym fully equipped and dedicated to swimming. We also have two large areas suitable for land work\, and plenty of space around the pool for stretching. Our state of the art facilities at The BEST Centre attract individuals and teams from across the world. More specifically\, we have welcomed 1000s of different swimming\, water polo\, triathlon and synchronised swimming teams from 38 countries worldwide. The combination of our facilities and the peacefulness of Colònia make for the perfect training camp – good enough for the very BEST! \nWHAT TO EXPECT\n“Our goal for each athlete is to have fun\, learn\, meet new friends\, and take a great attitude about their sport back to his or her home club.” \nWHAT’S INCLUDED\nThe swim holiday will be run by British Olympic swimmers and former British record holders as well as ASA qualified coaches. The holiday will comprise of 9 x 2 hour swimming sessions for 7 day holidays and 13 x 2 hour swim sessions for the 10 day holiday\, accompanied by dry land and stretching exercises. \nThe focus will be on:\n» Technique work.\n» Kicking.\n» Starts and turns.\n» Breakouts.\n» And having the most fun you can possibly have in a week of swimming. \nWhen the children are training\, parents are free to do their own thing and explore some of the beautiful sights of the island\, or sit in the sun and watch your children train. Parents will also have the opportunity to use the pool and the gym\, free of charge whilst the kids train! \nAlthough this is a swim holiday\, we offer so much more! As you can see on the itineraries\, outside of training we have a fun-filled schedule with lots of fun activities\, along with plenty of free time to relax as a family. \nWHAT TO BRING\nAll swimmers will need to bring fins and snorkel. Either bring your own if you have it\, or please order your kit from us and it will be waiting for you on your arrival. We recommend and sell Finis Zoomers or Z2\, and Finis snorkels. We have plenty of kick boards and pull buoys so there is no need to bring them. Bring your goggles (we have a range of mirrored and tinted goggles for sale at the pool)\, swimsuits\, caps and plenty of waterproof\, high protection sunscreen at FACTOR 50. \nDATES\n» May 25th – June 1st .. 7 days.\n» July 2nd – 9th .. 7 days.\n» July 9th – 19th .. 10 days.\n» July 19th – 26th .. 7 days.\n» July 26th – August 2nd .. 7 days.\n» August 3rd – 10th .. 7 days.\n» August 10th – 20th .. 10 days.\n» August 20th – 30th .. 10 days. \nADDITIONAL INFORMATION \nDISCOUNTS: If you are a family of 5 or more people\, the first four people pay the usual price\, and each person after that receives a 5% discount off the lowest priced person in the family\, i.e. a family of 5 will receive a 5 percent discount off a non swimming child or an adult. (Note: A non swimming child is aged 16 or under). \n1-2-1s: During the holiday we can organise 1-2-1 sessions of 30 or 60 minutes with individual swimmers. As time is very limited during the week\, it is best to book these in advance to avoid disappointment. Please note we do not offer 1:2:1 sessions on the arrival or departure days of our holiday dates. Cost for 30 minute session is 35 euros and 60 minutes is 50 euros. Exact times of 1-2-1s will be confirmed upon arrival.
