SUMMARY:South Downs Trail Half Marathon & 10km\, QE Park Petersfield
DESCRIPTION:The South Downs Trail Half Marathon and accompanying 10K are two of the classic trail runs in the South of England. They both start and finish at QE Country Park and run out to join the South Downs Way on a network of Bridle Paths through beautiful downland and forested countryside.  In 2022 we introduced Canicross waves for the first time. They were a great success\, and they will be returning in 2023 with a Canicross wave starting before the main races and a separate Canicross prize list. \n\n\n\nHalf Marathon\n\n\n\nStarting at Queen Elizabeth Country Park near Petersfield\, the half marathon follows a route through the Country Park\, then across fields to the Village of Chalton before picking up the Sussex Border Path\, bringing you to the South Downs Way. The route then returns\, running west for 4 miles on the South Downs Way back through QE Park to the finish. \n\n\n\nWe are planning to have two wave starts for the half marathon in 2022 to prevent congestion at the stile after 3.5miles and to maintain social distancing before the start: \n\n\n\n\n9:55am       Canicross Wave\n\n\n\n10 am Half-Marathon wave 1\n\n\n\n10.10 am    Half-Marathon wave 2\n\n\n\n10.20 am    10Km\n\n\n\n\nThe half marathon field has wave starts to avoid congestion in the early part of the course\, where there are a couple of narrow sections on the route. The waves will be split on estimated finishing times\, with the faster runners starting first. Prizes for the first three male and female finishers will be awarded to the first three to cross the line\, so if you think you have a chance of winning\, please make sure you start in the first wave. \n\n\n\nTo view the route or download a GPX route to your device\, follow the following link: HALF MARATHON ROUTE PROFILE Contains OS data (c) Crown copyright and database right 2022 \n\n\n\n10K Trail Run\n\n\n\nTaking in the first 2.4 miles of the half marathon route\, the 10K course will divide and run on the Staunton Way up to where it joins the South Downs Trail as it enters QE Park at the Buriton Gate. The route then returns to the finish along the same route as the half marathon (South Downs Way). Essentially the route is a gradual climb up to halfway\, then a downhill return to the finish at the base of Butser Hill. \n\n\n\nTo view the route or download a GPX route to your device\, follow the following link: 10KM ROUTE & PROFILE Contains OS data (c) Crown copyright and database right 2022 \n\n\n\nTime Table \n\n\n\n\n09.55 am: Canicross Wave Start for Half and 10K Start and Queen Elizabeth Country Park\n\n\n\n10.00 am:  Wave 1 Half Marathon Start at Queen Elizabeth Country Park\n\n\n\n10.10 am:  Wave 2 Half Marathon Start at Queen Elizabeth Country Park\n\n\n\n10.20 am:  10km Start at Queen Elizabeth Country Park\n\n\n\n\nPRICES\n\n\n\nHalf Marathon: Up to 30 Apr £32 (£35 Canicross entry) / From 1 May £37 (£40 Canicross entry) \n\n\n\n10km: Up to 30 Apr £22 ((£25 Canicross entry) / From 1 May £27 (£30 Canicross entry) \n\n\n\n(Entry prices include all registration platform fees. SUMMARY:The Great Buddhist Master Trail Marathon
DESCRIPTION:The Great Buddhist Master trail Marathon is more than a run\, this is about a whole Nepalese experience. \nFirstly enjoy the intoxicating and exhilarating city of Kathmandu\, See the sunrise over the city from Swayambhuath (The Monkey Temple) and experience a culture so different to ours at Pashupatinath where you will witness cremations alongside the Holy river Bagmati. \n\n\nIt is all off road (no tarmac in sight for miles)   You will twist and turn onto little tracks and pass through tiny villages at the foot of the Himalayas to the amusement of the locals! \nIn November the village is at it’s best with mustard fields in full colour\, orange trees in bloom and clear visibility to the snow capped mountains above.  It is truly spectacular. \n\n\nThe Manegau village sits at the foot of the Himalayas and the landscape is simply stunning. It is like stepping into a different world. You will be welcomed by the locals as you run or walk through their villages\, and eat freshly prepared traditional homemade Nepalese cuisine. \nAfter a challenging run/walk there will be a prize giving ceremony followed by a traditional Nepalese party under the stars. This trip is intimate with only 20 participants each time as it is not a commercial run. It is non-profit making and has enabled houses to be built following the earthquakes 3 years ago. \nIf the 2019 has sold out\, you can contact organizers to apply for the 2020 marathon. Spots fill up fast. So hurry! \nRegistration :  https://www.nepalmarathons.com/nepal-marathon-packages-nepal-marathon-2018/

SUMMARY:Force Of Nature Trail Marathon
DESCRIPTION:The second edition of the Force of Nature race series is back with a new format. While the inaugural edition introduced the exciting and challenging 64km ultra\, the second edition has been revamped to become a trail marathon event. Offering runner 4 different race categories. \nThe race will start and finish at Singapore’s favourite trail running haven\, MacRitchie Reservoir. The 4 race routes consists of 90 to 95% trails covering officially designated hiking trails\, both old and new\, at MacRitchie Reservoir and its surrounding vicinity. All 4 race routes do not involve any multi-looped courses! They are all single continuous runs. Say goodbye to those trail races that make you run loops after loops! Force of Nature Marathon will not only be the first\, but also Singapore’s only trail marathon for 2019. \nTaken from: loneyplanet.com \n  \nTaken from: TheSmartLocals \nCategories\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n42 KM\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis course pushes you to the limit and is the most challenging among the four. Covering a wide range of terrain\, it is a single continuous run that starts off from MacRitchie Reservoir and takes you all the way into the heart of the challenging trails at Bukit Timah\, Mandai and Chestnut before finishing back at MacRitchie Reservoir. Its a course designed for experienced marathon runners\, trail runners and ultra distance runners.\nCut off time: 8hrs (7am to 3pm)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n23 KM\n\n\n\n\n\nThis is a somewhat challenging course recommended for half marathon runners and experienced trail runners. It consists of a wide range of terrain and its quite hilly\, a series of constant ups and downs. Its a out and back single continuous route that starts off from MacRitchie Reservoir and takes you all the way into the heart of the gorgeous trails at Bukit Timah and Dairy Farm areas. Thus its a great route for those who are looking to get into regular trail running and explore trails outside of MacRitchie Reservoir.\n\n\n\nCut off time: 6hrs (7.05am to 1.05pm)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n10 KM\n\nThis is a simple out and back single continuous route which is almost entirely on trails. Its a course that has constant ups and downs all the way and hence its quite challenging but still lots of fun. Its a perfect course for traditional 10km runners of all abilities\, of any age.\n\n\n\nCut off time: 4hrs (7.15am to 11.15am)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n05 KM\n\nThe 5km category is a simple out and back route which is run almost entirely on trails\, and is flanked by gorgeous ancient trees on both sides of the trail route. It is a route that will appeal to runners of all abilities\, young and old. It is also a very familiar route to many who have been to Macritchie Reservoir. Thus it’s bound to be a trail favourite! For those who want to have fun out on a Saturday morning with your families\, this is the perfect category/route.\n\nCut off time: 90mins (7.20am to 08.50am)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMore information about the race\, routes and registration methods\, head on down to the link below: https://forceofnaturesg.com/
