Looking over the battlements from the North Terrace\, you can see for miles over the counties of Nottinghamshire\, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire. The name Belvoir – meaning ‘beautiful view’ in French\, is pronounced today as ‘beaver’. \n\n\n\nFans of the TV series The Crown will recognise several scenes filmed at Belvoir Castle. This Regency Castle was the perfect fit to recreate the Royals’ residence. \n\n\n\nRaces\n\n\n\nThe Belvoir Castle event will feature some truly iconic courses amidst the 3\,000 acres of naturally designed landscape and a large range of races for all ages and abilities. \n\n\n\nWhether you’re 9 or 90 years old\, a first-timer or an elite\, you can pick from our triathlon\, duathlon\, aquabike\, aquathlon\, run and swim races. \n\n\n\nGoverning Body\n\n\n\nBelvoir Castle Triathlon and Multisport Festival will be a British Triathlon permitted event. SUMMARY:The Bridge Children's Triathlon
DESCRIPTION:The 7th Bridge Children’s Triathlon will take place on the 13th July 2025. Entries are now open for the 2025 Dartford Bridge Children’s Triathlon. Every year we learn a bit more and we try and improve our events.\nNew swim course for this year’s children’s race. No lap’s just one loop for each race. 50m\, 150m\, 200\, 300\, this will make the swim easier for the children. \nDue to time restrictions we are limited to only 50 in each age race wave. Boys and girls may be racing in the same wave. The children’s race is a stand alone race now. It was to hard to run it after the adult race. We need to have reopened the road by 10am so all waves will need to start on time. \nWe will be fencing off all areas this year for safety reasons. We will also be moving the Transition area down to the trees to give us more room. The Finish will also be moved 20m again to give us more room (see site plan) \nRegistration will only open at 5.30am for the children’s race. All children must be at the start area 15 minutes before their wave is due to start. Start times will be sent out the week before the race date by e-mail. They will also be posted on the web site \nIf you have any questions please feel free to ask before the day of the race. Estimated start time for each age group. This will be confirmed on 10th July. \n\nTri-Star 4 15/16 6.30 am\nTri-Star 3 13/14 7.30 am\nTri-Star 2 11/12 8.15am\nTri-Star 1 9/10 9.00am\nTri-Start 8 9.30am\n\nPlease note this will be a wet suit swim for the children’s race. SUMMARY:The Bridge Triathlon
DESCRIPTION:The race takes place in one of the cleanest lakes in the south off England. The bike course is all on closed roads and it ideal for anyone new to the sport of Triathlon. \n\n\n\nIn the event of us losing any part of the course we will turn the Triathlon into an alternative event. If we lose the road it will become an Aquabike. If we lose the lake it will become a Duathlon. Sorry no refund will be given as this will be out of our control. In the 10 years this has not been a problem. \n\n\n\nThere are three different distances plus a team relay to choose from: a super sprint\, sprint and standard plus a relay option for the standard distance triathlon. \n\n\n\nWe are also running an Aqua Bike race. Think of it as like Parkrun for Swim Bike Run. More experienced competitors are also welcome to take part. \n\n\n\nGO TRI Local Torbay is normally on the first Saturday of every month. It’s a fully off-road course that suitable for all ages & abilities. These opportunities are all about having fun and building your confidence. With the opportunities\, we have set out the minimum distances for each element of the event. The bike and run elements are lapped\, so you can do as much or as little that want on the day. eg more experienced people can do a 150m swim\, a 7.5K bike (5 laps of the velopark) and a 2k run which is 3 laps of our run course \n\n\n\nFAMILIES ENCOURAGED\n\n\n\nChildren as young as 6 (provided they can swim 25m) can take part with a responsible adult taking part with them. There is some free parking available starting a few hundred metres from the Leisure Centre. \n\n\n\n\nFAQS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDo I need to be a good swimmer or biker\, or runner to take part? \n\nAbsolutely not. You can swim as little as 50m or as much as 200m. You can even stop for a breather if you need to & breaststroke\, front crawl\, and even doggy paddle are all fine. It’s just backstroke that isn’t permitted. Similarly\, on the bike leg\, you’ll find the smooth\, flat tarmac very easy to ride on. And the run is also flat with enough time to walk around if you prefer.\n\n\nHow do I book my children onto GO TRI Local? \nWe have to use the British Triathlon booking system for GO TRI Local. It doesn’t currently have a ‘basket’ system\, but you can book multiple people using the same email address and password. See GO TRI Booking FAQ for more details.\n\n\nIs GO TRI Local every month? \nYes\, they are on the first Saturday of every month (except for May 2022\, where we had to move it forward a week due to a clash with a swimming gala.
