DESCRIPTION:OVERVIEW\n\n\n\n\nBicton College is a  stunning location for a duathlon\, with quiet local roads & trails and ample free parking. \nThe sprint duathlon\, a British Triathlon European qualifier for 2024\, starts with a 5k mixed terrain run. The bike is an anti-clockwise 22K loop on rolling roads. The final run is an accurately measured out & back 2.5K tarmac run on the first half of the 5k run course. If you’re competing in the qualifier\, you must register as a qualifier on the British Triathlon website. \nThe standard distance duathlon begins with a 10 km 2 lap run on tarmac & gravel paths. During the bike leg of the duathlons\, participants must carry water and anything else they’ll need with them.\nAge Requirements\nThe 5k is open to runners aged 11 and over\, the 10k\, Super Sprint\, and Sprint duathlons are available to participants aged 15 and over\, the 15k is open to runners aged 16 or over and the half marathon and Standard Duathlon are open to those aged 17 or over.\nHeadphones\nNoise-cancelling headphones/ earphones are strictly prohibited. All other types of listening devices are also banned for duathlons and are strongly discouraged for the lake runs – you should be aware of what’s going on around you and be able to hear encouragement and instructions from marshals.\nB\nThis event is suitable for wheelchair users. Great for those looking for that little something extra\, the course takes athletes from the waters of Llyn Mymbyr to the summit of Moel Siabod. \n\nThe Snowman Triathlon & Duathlon routes\n\n\nThe races will start from the ground of the scenic Plas y Brenin\, The National Mountain Centre. \nCompetitors will complete the swim in the waters of Llyn Mymbyr in the shadows of the awe-inspiring Snowdon. From here\, competitors will complete a series of hill climbs over Snowdonia’s mountain passes as they tackle the bike section.
