DESCRIPTION:Scilly Swim Challenge 2017\nSwim island to island over two days on the beautiful Isles of Scilly. 15km over 6 swims. \nIs there an age limit to enter the event?\nMinumum age 16. \nWhen do I need to be on the Islands?\nYou will need to be on Scilly the day before the event. Registration is between 1200 & 1630 with an acclimatisation swim and safety briefing at 5.30. These are compulsory so please be at registration by 16.30. \nIs my registration transferrable?\nIf you are unable to join us but have a friend to take your place you can log into Eventbrite and change the name and contact details. \nFull safety support is included. It’s not a race and the emphasis is on everyone getting round safely. There are food stops at the end of each swim.\n​ \nRoute\nThe event will start and finish on St. Mary’s\, the main island\, visiting St. Martins\, Tresco\, Bryher\, Samson and St. Agnes \nApproximate distances\nSt Mary’s – St. Martin’s 2.8km\nSt. Martin’s – Tresco 2.3km\nTresco – Bryher 600m\nBryher – Samson 1km\nSamson – St. Agnes 4.8km\nSt Agnes – St. Mary’s 2.9km \nRegistration is still open. DESCRIPTION:Patagonian International Marathon\nThe Patagonian International Marathon is a road running event that takes place in Chilean Patagonia\, Providence of Última Esperanza (Last Hope)\, in the surroundings of Torres del Paine National Park. Since 2012\, the event has brought together thousands of runners from more than 50 countries\, converging to the southern tip of the Patagonia to fulfill the dream of running in one of the most pristine place on the planet! \nThe sixth edition of the Patagonian International Marathon will take place on Saturday\, September 9\, 2017\, and will maintain the classic race distances of 42K\, 21K\, and 10K. The shared finish line for all distances will be located at the spectacular Hotel Río Serrano (#TheAmazingFinishLine). Similar to last year’s edition\, the 2017 race route will be located to the South of the majestic Torres del Paine National Park. The magic of running in Patagonia\, together with runners from around the world and the adventure of confronting a restless\, and sometimes even hostile\, climate will continue being the essence of the event. \nGeographically\, the event is developed in the American continent’s extreme south\, at 51° south latitude\, in a prime location of Western Patagonia\, to the East of the Great Southern Ice Field and South of Torres del Paine National Park. The closest city to the event’s race zone is Puerto Natales\, located 250 km to the North of Punta Arenas\, which is the region’s capital. \nWhether you are an elite runner or just an enthusiast\, you will be welcome here! DESCRIPTION:London To Canterbury Cycle Challenge\nOur annual cycle challenge is back!  \nTake on over 1500 metres of exhilarating climb along the stunning Pilgrim’s Way. Riders will meet and set off from London\, and can opt from a picturesque yet challenging 65 or 80 mile route\, finishing with panoramic views over Canterbury Cathedral.  \nThis ride offers even the most seasoned of riders a thrill\, and is also an exciting challenge for less experienced riders. \nRiders will benefit from extensive route support including mobile mechanics\, recovery vehicles and first aid\, as well as full route signage and marshals. The ride includes regular and well stocked feed stations\, described by one of our 2015 riders as ‘the best of any ride I’ve done!’ \nCross the finish line to our after party\, where cyclists are invited to enjoy a complimentary sports massage\, and can look forward to a BBQ\, music\, and stalls. Friends and family are encouraged to cheer their cycling heroes through the finish line\, where there’ll even be activities for the kids! \nIncluded in your entry:\nFundraising pack\nRoute maps (OS and schematic)\nDigital route map files\, available in GPX\, TCX & Strava forms (on request)\nFull route signage\nFully marshalled route\nFirst aid\nFully stocked and regular feed stations\nMobile mechanic support and recovery vehicles\nMedal for finishers\nOptional complimentary sports massage for finishers \nEntry\nEntry is from £35\, with team discounts available.
