SUMMARY:Chisinau International Marathon
DESCRIPTION:Marathon Events in Eastern Europe\nIn 2017\, 17 000 people came out to the start line\, 4000 of them ran 5\, 10\, 21 and 42 km races of Chisinau Marathon. \nSeptember 30\, 2018 Sporter sports organization will host the fourth International Chisinau Marathon\, in which races will be held over the following distances: \n– marathon (42 km 195 m) \n– half marathon (21 km 0975 m) \n– 10 km race \n– 5 km race \nThe route will be set around central streets of Chisinau (as per the Marathon map)\, the start and finish line will be located on the Great National Assembly Square. \nAccording to the rules of international marathons\, all participants will receive a starter pack\, which will include the personal bib number\, a disposable timing chip\, a commemorative T-shirt and the route maps with the detailed schedule of the event. \nFeeding stations will be available at different points along the race course\, where athletes can eat\, drink\, cool themselves with wet sponges\, use the facilities\, and if necessary\, get medical assistance. \nAt the finish line all participants will get commemorative medals\, while the winners will receive valuable prizes\, as well. \nMarathon Rules \nSchedule\nChisinau Marathon is an outstanding event\, which will take place during three days. After the start of the race athletes will run along Stefan cel Mare Boulevard\, Ciuflea Street\, Dacia Boulevard\, to the intersection with Rose Street\, then back along Dacia Boulevard\, Ciuflea Street\, Stefan cel Mare Boulevard\, to the Great National Assembly Square\, then continue along Stefan cel Mare Boulevard\, to the intersection with Toma Ciorba Street and then back along Stefan cel Mare Boulevard\, to the Great National Assembly Square. \nThe total length of the course is 10\,5 km ( 4 laps for marathon runners and 2 laps for half marathon runners). \n– Fun Run (1\,5 km): the Great National Assembly Square –  Stefan cel Mare Boulevard – Vasile Alecsandri Street – Mitropolit Varlaam Street – Pushkin Street – the Great National Assembly Square; \n– 5 km race: the Great National Assembly Square – Stefan cel Mare Boulevard – Ciuflea Street – 31 August 1989 Street – Sfatul Tarii Street – Stefan cel Mare Boulevard – the Great National Assembly Square; \n– 10 km race: the Great National Assembly Square – Stefan cel Mare Boulevard – Ciuflea Street – Dacia Boulevard ( up to Rose Street) – Dacia Boulevard – Ciuflea Street – Stefan cel Mare Boulevard (up to Toma Ciorba Street) – Stefan cel Mare Boulevard – the Great National Assembly Square; \n– Half marathon (21 km): the Great National Assembly Square – Stefan cel Mare Boulevard – Ciuflea Street – Dacia Boulevard ( up to Rose Street) – Dacia Boulevard – Ciuflea Street – Stefan cel Mare Boulevard (up to Toma Ciorba Street) – Stefan cel Mare Boulevard – the Great National Assembly Square (2 laps x 10\,5 km); \n– Marathon (42\,195 km): the Great National Assembly Square – Stefan cel Mare Boulevard – Ciuflea Street – Dacia Boulevard ( up to Rose Street) – Dacia Boulevard – Ciuflea Street – Stefan cel Mare Boulevard (up to Toma Ciorba Street) – Stefan cel Mare Boulevard – the Great National Assembly Square (4 laps x 10\,5 km).
