DESCRIPTION:Ekiden (駅伝) is a long-distance running multi-stage relay race\, which has been widely received among runners in Singapore. This year\, Mizuno is pleased to extend this piece of culture by introducing the first Ekiden online race. \nThe Mizuno Ekiden Singapore Online Race is a friendly running competition similar like previous editions of the Mizuno Ekiden that promotes the Japanese values of perseverance\, resilience and teamwork. For the first time\, people of any running ability in Singapore can form a running team of 4 with their friends or randomly with people in different communities to compete for top honours. \n  \n\n  \nEach team runner can choose to run anywhere on any terrain\, a different or same distance each\, take turns or run together to complete the 42.195km marathon distance. \nThe Mizuno Ekiden Singapore Online Race brings identity within a team and bring out camaraderie and cooperation of each member towards a common goal. The race is only available to participants with a Singapore shipping address. \nWhether you are running with friends or hope to find your sole mates in this online race\, you will realised great things can be achieved together. \n \n\n1. How does this work?\nLog in to your Spacebib account. Head over to “My Participation” tab\, click on it and you will see your registered event. If you are not registered. Register on the event page. Please provide your distance and timing of your activity by taking a photo of the display screen of your treadmill. \n3. DESCRIPTION:This race is an officially measured and certified accurate course by the Association of UK Course Measurers. \nCourse\nThe route starts at the close to the Wheatsheaf Inn Wetheral and finishes close to Wetheral Community Hall. Best described as undulating\, the course starts at an elevation of 193ft and has a maximum elevation of 233ft. Athletes are requested to follow the race director’s instructions and be aware of the dangers of cars and cyclist. See HERE for map of route. \nFacilities\nToilets for both male/female are available. Parking is available onsite although there is plenty available in the surrounding streets. A baggage lay down area will be available. Light refreshment such as tea\, coffee etc. will also be available free for competitors and a small charge for spectators. \nRace numbers & race day information\nRace numbers\, timing chips etc. will be issued at race registration. If any updates are required to the race information they will appear on this page as well as the Sport in Action home page. \nRegistration\nRegistration will be open between 17:30 and 18:45. \n  \nRisk Assessment\nA full course risk assessment will be on display at the event HQ on race day together with maps of the route\, the race permit and the measurement certificate in accordance with UKA rules (2020-39118). \nRace safety briefing\nThe race briefing will take place at 18:50 \nPrize presentation\nThe prizes for the 1st 2nd & 3rd Male & Female finishers will take place approximately 20mins after the 3rd Male or Female competitor has finished. SUMMARY:2019 - 2020 Thanyapura Open Swim League
DESCRIPTION:Would you like to experience the thrill of competing in an Olympic-sized pool alongside other swimmers in Phuket? Then come and take part in the Thanyapura Open Swim League\, beginning on 30 November 2019! This is a fantastic opportunity for young swimming enthusiasts of all ages to come together and compete in teams. Come and test your skills in the water\, and make new friends with others that share your passion for swimming. \nThere are three sessions planned for 2019-20 season: 30 November 2019\, 8 February 2020 and 30 May 2020\, all starting at 8.00am. This season is open to all teams in Phuket and the surrounding areas. The meets will be held at Thanyapura’s 50m Olympic pool\, which will be available from 6.45-7.50am during each session for warm ups. The season costs 400THB per swimmer. \n  \nDATE:\n– 30 November 2019\,\n– 8 February 2020\n– 30 May 2020 \n  \n1. ORGANIZATION\, SITE AND DATES.\n1.1 The object of this swim league is to get all the local swimmers from Phuket and its\nsurroundings to have a chance to compete locally and to make the team competition\nsignificant by having a team score.\n1.2 There will be three sessions\, starting at 08.00 on November 30thd\, Feb.8th\, and May 30th.\n1.3. For the 2019-2020 season\, it will be open to all teams in Phuket\, and surrounding areas.\n1.4 All clubs must confirm their participation in the league before October 19th.\nParticipation costs 400THB per swimmer per session.\n1.5 The meets will be held in Thanyapura’s 50 meter pool for all sessions\n1.6 The pool will be available from 6.45 to 7:50 am for warm up.\n1.7 The organization will provide participants with water and fruit during each event.\n1.8 200 meter events of stroke will have a time standard and age limit (9). Relay men \nThere will be 5 minute break before the relays\, which will start at the end of the session.\nDuring those breaks swimmers will be allowed in the competition pool. \n  \n3. PARTICIPATION.\n3.1 This standard is intended for swimmers in the following categories: 6&U\, 8&U\, 9-10\, 11-12\, 13-14\, and 15-17\, and 18&over\n3.2 Each swimmer may participate in a maximum of THREE individual events per session (excl. relays)\n3.3 Each club may register as many swimmers per event as it wants\, but only the first two swimmers per category will score towards the team score.\n3.4 Each club may register as many relays as it wants. (Only the top relay from each team will score.) \n  \n4. Entries.\n4.1 Entries must be submitted 10 days prior the competition before 20.00. Late entries\nwill be subject to a 500THB late fee per athlete. NO late entries or changes will be\naccepted within 5 days of the competition.\n4.2 Entries fees can be submitted via electronic transfer or cash payments can be\nmade to the front desk prior to the start of the competition.\nEntry deadlines are as follows:\nSession 1 November 20th\nSession 2 January 29th\nSession 3 May 20th\n4.3 The organizer will send the meet program to each participating clubs before 20:00\npm by Thursday prior to the competition. \n  \n5. AWARDS.\n5.1. There will be three medals per age group for both male and female\, based on the highest accumulated score (20\,17\,16\, 15 – 2\,1..) for that age group obtained during the three sessions (so in total 3 sessions x 4 events per session)\, which will be handed at the end of the last day of competition.\n5.2 Wrist bands will be presented to the heat winners.\n5.3 There will be a team score\, based on the high point (20\, 17\, 16\, 2-1…) per age category and male and female for the highest placing 2 swimmers from each club\, per event\, as well as the top relay per team per age group. There will be three team trophies for 1st-3rd \n6. CLAIMS OF RESULTS. On May 28\, 2017 Tim Don posted the incredible 7:40:23 finishing time and broke the World record. Many athletes did also break their personal records turning the race into one of the fastest in the world. \nCalled “the place to be” and “a mixture of St. Tropez and Ibiza without the attitude” by the New York Times\, Florianopolis\, Brazil on the Island of Santa Catarina boasts world-class entertainment\, beaches and restaurants. The sun-soaked stretches of coastline in “Floripa\,” as locals affectionately call it\, make up forty-two beaches in total. Athletes lining up for the event will find themselves in a sanctuary for sports\, natural life and tourism from around the globe. \nThe 2.4-mile mass swim start is located at Jurere Internacional Beach – in front of La Serena Restaurant. DESCRIPTION:EpicMan is the ultimate middle distance (half Iron) triathlon\, based at YMCA Lakeside\, on the shore of Lake Windermere. The 1.9km Swim takes place in the clear waters of Lake Windermere and is a single lap course. DESCRIPTION:Welcome to your nightmare at The Hellstone Marathon we bring devilish hills\, heroic views and epic skies of the course\, but we couldn’t resist including a bit of magical woodland and a stone circle along the way.​ \nWe wanted to send you out into the countryside on an adventure but bring you back safely. \n\nWe wanted to make sure that even if its blowing a hooligan in top of those hills and raining\, its also not minus 5 degrees\, hence its in May. \n Hellstone Marathon is a qualifying race for the UTMB® (1 point) \n\n\nThese races will appeal to those who like to race a tough off-road challenge\, but also with the generous cut-off times\, be accessible to those runners who like to enjoy the scenery on the way round. (minimum age limits : 18 to enter the marathon\, 17 to enter the half marathon\, 16 to enter the 10k)\nYou can also run with your dog\, but please see our canicross specific rules before entry. \n\n\n​ \n\n\nHow Long? – Cut offs are 8 hours for the marathon and 4.5 hours for the half (no cut-off for 10k)  \n\n\n​ \n\n\nWhat’s included? – Unique medals for all finishers\, fully signed and supported route\, route maps\, Event Medics\, sweeper runners\, bespoke Trophies for first 3 males and first 3 females in each race\, car parking\, post race refreshment\, male and female changing areas\, option to purchase event t-shirts.
