SUMMARY:Brixen Dolomiten Marathon
DESCRIPTION:140 Athletes from already 14 different countries have so far written to each other for the Brixen Dolomites Marathon. Among them for the first time are athletes from Russia\, Hong Kong and South Africa. “After the anniversary edition\, we assumed that the number of participants could perhaps decline a little. However\, the opposite is the case\, because we are at exactly the same level as last year. What makes us particularly happy is of course the fact that we attract mountain runners from countries from which no participants have yet come to Brixen. This internationalization is essential for Brixen as a tourist destination\,” says OK boss Christian Jocher. \nThe mountain marathon takes you from the cathedral square in the centre of Brixen (560m) to the Plose\, the local mountain of Brixen at 2.450m. The route goes from forest and meadow trails\, in sections on asphalt roads\, to St. Andrä (1.062m). At the valley station of the cable car Plose takes place the first change of the relay 4×4. Now it goes on hiking and forest trails to Afers (1.504m)\, here is the second change area of the relay 4×4 and the unique one of the relay 2×2. \nAccompanied by a exclusive scenery of the Peitler mountain and the Dolomites in the background\, the route takes you in sections on asphalt roads and forest trails via Rossalm to Kreuztal (2.050 m)\, the 3rd change area for the relay runners 4×4. On the hiking trail to the Ochsenalm you can enjoy the wonderful view down the valley before the last 3\,2 km and 400 m of altitude gain await you. \nThe spectacular mountain scenery\, a 360° panoramic view at the finish make you forget all your efforts of the marathon. A double challenge: the 2.450 meters of altitude between Brixen and the Plose – simply “running to the limits”. \n \nStart: Brixen Cathedral Square (560 m) \nFinish: Plose (2.450 m)\nLength: 42\,195 km\nHeight difference: 2.450 m\nTime limit: 8 hours\nIMPORTANT: All foreign runners participating in Brixen Dolomites Marathon need to have a medical certificate filled in\, and send it to -> info@brixenmarathon.it prior to the event and before the 30.06.2019 in order to run this race. DESCRIPTION:Bask in the pristine turquoise Bali sea\n\nLocated on the East of Bali\, Indonesia\, Lombok is part of the Indonesian Archipelago. Lombok offers many dreamy beaches – ideal for a getaway. This race features clear ocean waters\, a smooth\, undulating bike course\, and scenic run. \nThis race offers 60 qualifying slots to the 2020 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Taupo\, New Zealand. \n1.9km Swim\n\nA swim in the immaculate\, pristine turquoise waters of the Bali sea await the athletes. The one-loop 1.9km clockwise swim  starts and finishes at the Holiday Resort Lombok\, with stunning views of the mountains for a backdrop. \n90km Bike\n\nA magnificent 1 Lap 90.1km Bike Course that will take athletes through a picturesque journey with amazing views of the Lombok coastline and the dense nature surrounding the famous Mount Rinjani. Athletes will exit T1 at Holiday Resort Lombok and head along Raya Senggigi Road towards the City of Mataram taking in views of the Bali Sea through the winding and undulating course. Athletes will then continue South East along the flatter roads before making a U Turn prior to Lombok International Airport. Athletes will then head directly back to T2 along the same course and dismounting within Holiday Resort Lombok. \n21.1km Run\n\nThe 2 Lap 21.1km course will see athletes exit T2 at Holiday Resort Lombok and run South towards the area of Senggigi. Athletes will run an undulating winding course with surreal views overlooking the Bali Sea. A U Turn will be made within Senggigi before athletes run back towards Holiday Resort Lombok to complete their first lap. SUMMARY:ÖTILLÖ Swimrun Engadin 2020
DESCRIPTION:The race that started the international swimrun movement. A unique race in a unique place\, hosted in the fantastic Engadin Valley in Switzerland. \nThe Engadin Valley is the first place we went to when we wanted to take the sport of Swimrun out of Sweden. The exceptional beauty of the valley speaks for itself. \nThe Engadin Valley is in the Swiss Alps with the well-known St Moritz in one end of the valley. The valley has several pristine mountain lakes on the valley floor and also some at altitude\, up in the mountains. The trail- running is awesome with some very good vertical. This race is a real test for the athletes.\nIn July the flowers are in full bloom and the kite-surfers fill Lake Silvaplana on windy days. The weather in this period can really be anything from a nice summer day to a cold\, hard day out. Be mentally prepared for the worst and enjoy the best. \nThe water is clear and crisp with some sections around 11 degrees C\, some of the swim sections are long. Dress smart! Do not take the altitude of the course lightly. We strongly suggest several days of on-site to get used to the altitude. \n \n  \nThe Races\nWorld series \nÖTILLÖ Swimrun Engadin is a challenging yet beautiful race. The varied course\, the water temperature and the very strong group of participants will challenge everyone to put in their best performances. \nThe race course is approximately 45\,4 km long of which 39\,6 km are trail running and 5\,8 km are open-water swimming. There are a total of 8 swims of which the longest is 1 400 meters. The total vertical gain is 1 500 meters and the highest swim is at 1 900 meters. \n  \nSprint Race \nThe ÖTILLÖ Swimrun Sprint Engadin will be in Silvaplana and follow some sections of the World Series event before looping back to the finish. A total distance of 15\,3 km\, with 5 runs and 4 swims. No swim will be longer than 820 metres and all swims are protected. The total vertical gain is just shy of 200 metres. The runs are beautiful; some on trail\, some uphill and some with a lot of people around. \nSometimes your partner is sick or injured or you can not find someone to participate with you. We are giving you the option to participate in either the Sprint or the Experience distance as an individual/solo. \n  \nExperience Race \nThe new format EXPERIENCE is exactly what the name implies\, a swimrun experience for those completely new to the sport or for those not ready to compete over bigger distances. In Silvaplana you will experience the beautiful mountains\, the clear water and the very friendly atmosphere of an ÖTILLÖ race. Come alone or come as a team and enjoy the ÖTILLÖ Experience. The course is 6\,3 km long with 3 swims\, of which the longest is 600 metres. \nSometimes your partner is sick or injured or you can not find someone to participate with you. DESCRIPTION:The Bali Ocean Swim is another beautiful GSS swim that follows the ever-growing trend of excellent open water swims in exotic and exciting locations. \nA province of Indonesia\, Bali is also known as the Island of the Gods and for good reason. This island paradise is covered by lush jungle\, rolling hills\, volcanic mountains\, terraced rice patties\, beautiful beaches and some of the most beautiful snorkeling and diving in the world. It’s of little wonder why Bali quite consistently wins a variety of different travel awards. The race is specifically located in near Kuta\, the known as a surfing mecca for many tourists. \nThe race itself is hosted by the Bali Sports Foundation\, a charity that aims to improve the lives of children in Indonesia through the power of sport and play for development\, health and peace. Proceeds from the race go to providing funding for a water and swimming safety program for disabled children and youth in Bali. There’s a little something for everyone with a 1.2km\, 5km and 10k distance available. The course is well-marked and swimmers swim around buoys as well as traditional Indonesian boats that also provide a convenient place for a feed in the longer distances. \nIf you’ve been waiting for an excuse to go on an adventure to one of the most beautiful islands on the planet then the Bali Ocean Swim is your chance!
