DESCRIPTION:Event dates \nRace 1 : 27th June\, Horowhenua- 10 am\nRace 2 : 25th July\, Wellington – 10 am\nRace 3 : 21st Aug\, Kapiti\, in the dark – 6.30 pm \nThe Dirt Duathlon Series is run by the Big Bang Adventure Charitable Trust\nWe were established in November 2010 and are registered with the Charities Commission. Our registration number is: CC45878. \nOur trust is comprised of 4 trustees who wanted to share their enthusiasm for the outdoors and who recognised a need in the community for adventure-based activities. Our aim is to allow access to the outdoors in a relatively controlled and safe environment. \nTogether we have a combined experience of over 60 years in the outdoor industry\, from managing an outdoor company in Scotland\, to owning one in New Zealand. We have extensive event management experience and have worked the white waters of Venezuela\, Colorado\, New Zealand\, Scotland and lead multi-pitch rock climbing & ice climbing. We have participated in and instructed kayaking\, windsurfing\, sailing\, open boating\, SUP’s\, bugging\, abseiling\, bridge swinging\, mountain biking\, hiking\, canyoning\, cliff jumping\, team building activities and any other activity that keeps us away from the office! \nWe welcome you to join us in our next adventure in the Dirt Duathlon adventure racing series. \nCheers \nCarrie\, Marty\, Pete and Si \nCheck out our other event the Big Bang Adventure Race\, a 6-9 hr adventure race in November each year.

DESCRIPTION:Celebrate summer by taking part in The Fugitive in this fantastic weekend of endurance sports events. Great for athletes of all levels\, the courses make full use of the awesome beauty of the River Thames. Come for the physical challenge or to experience the wonderful race day atmosphere. \n\nThe Fugitive routes\n\n\n\nDuathlon \nBike Course: \n\nThe course is fairly flat with only a couple of hills. These are offset by the stunning scenery\nThe course is out and back\, but there is a very popular three-lap course at the far end of the route\n\nRun Course: \n\nThe middle distance run course is a 5km loop along tarmac and grass footpaths\nThe course winds its way back towards Marlow and finishes at Higginson Park\n\nAqua Bike \nSwim Course: \n\nThe swim course is in the River Thames\, which should help those split times\nMiddle Distance competitors will swim a 1900m lap course in the Thames\, Standard 1500m course\, and Sprint 750m\n\nBike Course: \n\nThe route is undulating but mostly it is a fast and flat course\nThe Middle Distance cycle is 85.6km and features a popular three-lap course at the far end of the route\n\nRiver Swim \n\nThere are three distances available catering to all levels of swimmers 750m\, 1.5km\, and 3km\nThe course is a single out and back lap swim in the River Thames\nGenerally\, the flow of the river is calm and steady\n\nTriathlon \nSwim Course: \n\nThe swim takes place in the River Thames\nSprint competitors will swim 750m\, Standard competitors 1.5km and Middle Distance Competitors 1.9km\n\nBike Course: \n\nThe bike course is out and back\nIt features two mid-level hills but otherwise\, it is flat and fast\nSprint competitors will complete 24.5km and Standard competitors 37km\nMiddle Distance Competitors will cycle 85.6km due to the additional three-lap course at the far end of the Standard route\n\nRun Course: \n\nThe run course is a 5km loop along tarmac and grass footpaths\nThe course winds its way back towards Marlow and finishes at Higginson Park\nSprint Distance Competitors will complete 1 lap\, Standard distance competitors will need to complete 2 laps and Middle Distance triathletes will run 4 laps of the course\n\n\nDistances and Races: \nTriathlon(Sprint): Swim 0.75km\, Bike 24.5km\, Run 5km \nTriathlon(Middle Distance): Swim 1.9km\, Bike 85.6km\, Run 20km \nTriathlon(Standard): Swim 1.5km\, Bike 37km\, Run 10km \nRiver Swim(Sprint): Swim 0.75km \nRiver Swim(Middle Distance): Swim 3km \nRiver Swim(Standard): Swim 1.5km \nDuathlon(Sprint): Run 5km\, Bike 24.5km\, Run 5km \nDuathlon(Middle Distance): Run 5km\, Bike 85.6km\, Run 20km \nDuathlon(Standard): Run 5km\, Bike 37km\, Run 10km \n\nAquabike(Sprint): Swim 0.75km\, Bike 24.5km \nAquabike(Middle Distance): Swim 1.9km\, Bike 85.6km \nAquabike(Standard): Swim 1.5km\, Bike 37km \n \nThe Race Organiser: https://raceconnections.com/profiles/f3events/ \n
