Our first event of 2022 is now open! \nIt’s no secret that the last 12 months have been tough for the events industry\, but we are nearing the end of the tunnel and are more excited than ever for the “Rumble in the Jungle” that is Ultra X Sri Lanka in March 2022. \nWill we be seeing you there? \nUltra X Sri Lanka takes place in a country nicknamed “The Pearl of the Indian Ocean”. \n\n\nSri Lanka is a beautiful place with an incredibly diverse culture\, steeped in rich history and vibrant colour. The course takes competitors past tea plantations and sugar factories\, through 10\,000 year old rainforests\, along stunning countryside trails\, and down rushing rivers. During this unforgettable week\, competitors will experience the place\, the people\, and the beauty of this iconic country in full. \n\n\n1) The Course \nUltra X Sri Lanka takes place in a country nicknamed “The Pearl of the Indian Ocean”. \nThe event is based in Udawalawe\, which is located in the Ratnapura District in southern Sri Lanka. The area is known for its spectacular tourism\, wildlife safaris and hotels. \nThe course takes competitors past tea plantations and sugar factories\, through 10\,000 year old rainforests\, along stunning countryside trails\, and down rushing rivers. \nIt’s also very flat\, at 681m over the entire week. For a 250km race it’s pretty fast… \n2) The People \nDuring this unforgettable week\, competitors will experience the place\, the people\, and the beauty of this iconic country in full. \nAlong with a number of local competitors\, the Sri Lankan people are some of the most friendly you will ever meet! Do not be surprised when you’re greeted with freshly cut fruit and showered with cold water at interim checkpoints set up by those who live close to the route! \n3) The Campsites \nThe sense of achievement you feel after grinding through each day\, and the camaraderie you build with your fellow competitors in a jungle camp is what makes competing in the Ultra X series truly unique. \nOver the course of the week you will camp at 3 separate stunning locations and finish alongside a breathtaking lagoon\, where you can expect one hell of a party to celebrate your achievement! \n  \n

It is not possible to leave your bike overnight. You may not enter transition for any reason after the allocated time. \nEvent Rules\nThis Event follows British Triathlon Rules. \nBTF Membership\nIf you are not a member of the British Triathlon Federation\, your entry fee will include a day membership for £6. \nCompulsory Kit\nAll participants must provide their own bikes in good working order; helmets are mandatory.
