DESCRIPTION:ON 12 NOV FOR SPRINT AND ENTICER\, PLUS NEW JUNIOR/SCHOOL AGE TRIATHLON EVENTS.\n\n\n\nThe 30th annual Sparke Helmore Newcastle City Triathlon is again on Sunday\, 12 Nov 2023. The event will be staged from Camp Shortland near the Nobbys Beach area on Newcastle Harbour and is one of the most picturesque courses in Australia. Take part as an individual or member of a 2-3 person relay team. We are also offering a new Junior/Schools Triathlon. The atmosphere is electric\, with spectators close to the action on the Foreshore of Newcastle Harbour. \n\n\n\nCORPORATE/ENTICER TRIATHLON\n\n\n\n\nSTART: 9:00am\n\n\n\nDISTANCE: 375m swim\, 10km cycle\, 2.5km run\n\n\n\n\nA short course triathlon for short course specialists or novice triathletes\, including businesses. The cycle leg is a 3 loop course from Foreshore Park to Newcastle Baths\, including part of Wharf Rd and Fort Drive. The cycle and run course is flat except for Fort Drive. \n\n\n\nWHO’S IT FOR?\n\n\n\nCompetitors 12+ years of age who can complete a short course triathlon. You can choose to complete all 3 legs OR form a relay team and complete 1 or 2 legs. \n\n\n\nSPRINT DISTANCE TRIATHLON\n\n\n\n\nSTART: 7:00am\n\n\n\nDISTANCE: 750m swim – 20km cycle – 5km run\n\n\n\n\nA short distance Triathlon for those trained for the event or relay participants looking for a solid leg hit out. \n\n\n\nWHO’S IT FOR?\n\n\n\nIndividuals over 14 years or Relay Team members over 13 years. (Age at 31 Dec 2023) \n\n\n\nJUNIOR/SCHOOL AGE TRIATHLON\n\n\n\n\nSTART: 10:00am\n\n\n\nDISTANCE: Various see Race Information\n\n\n\n\nThis event will be separate distances and events for ages 7-11y\, ages 12-13y and 14-17.
