DESCRIPTION:A trail event for the next generation\nFuture Valleys is a new addition to the Altra 13 Valleys Ultra event weekend\, created to give children and young people the opportunity to enjoy their own trail challenge in the heart of Keswick.Taking place on Saturday 26 September 2026\, the event will feature age-appropriate routes around Theatre by the Lake\, designed for children aged 3–16. Future Valleys is about encouraging young people to get outdoors\, build confidence and experience the atmosphere of an iconic trail running weekend in a format designed especially for them. \nDISTANCES\nAGE 3 – 10 \n\n\n\nDistance\nApprox. 1.94 km\n\n\nWave Start\n11:10\n\n\nStart\nKeswick\n\n\nFinish\nKeswick\n\n\n\nAGE 11–16 \n\n\n\nDistance\nApprox. 4.86 km\n\n\nWave Start\n10:00\n\n\nStart\nKeswick\n\n\nFinish\nKeswick\n\n\n\n\nThe route takes place on trails around Theatre by the Lake\, with clear waymarking and support on course. Participants will start in waves throughout the morning\, creating a relaxed and supportive environment for young runners. *Route is subject to change\n\n\n\nFuture Valleys is designed to be inclusive and accessible\, with the emphasis on participation\, enjoyment and spending time outdoors. The Hever Castle estate offers a wealth of history; most recognisably the home of two of Henry VIII 6 wives.
