RISING swimming star Eoin Corby broke three Irish records over the weekend.

The 17 year old from Clarina was one of the stars of the 2019 McCullagh International meet in the Bangor Aurora leisure Centre in Co. Down.

Corby, of Limerick Swimming Club, is a fifth year student in Salesian College, Pallaskenry.

The Limerick teen took home a breaststroke hat trick of Irish Junior Records (IJR), finishing his streak by breaking the 10-year-old 50m Breaststroke record, previously held by Michael Dawson since 2009.

Corby touched in gold position shaving 0.18 seconds off to place a new IJR of 28.71.

First up he broke a 10 year old 100m breaststroke record with a time of 1:02:65.
