SUMMARY:Cohasset Junior Triathlon
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Cohasset Junior Triathlon presented by Goldfish Swim School of the South Shore! \nWe are thrilled to stage a fun and safe triathlon event for kids ages 6 – 14 years of age. With the coordination of the Cohasset Swim Center\, the South Shore Music Circus\, the Cohasset Public Schools\, and the Cohasset Board of Selectman this will be a sensational opportunity for your kids to get involved in a healthy and active sport. All of the participants in this event will be a winner! \n  \nCourse\nWe believe we have designed a perfect course to introduce our young athletes into the sport of triathlon. \nNothing is more important than the safety of every participant. We will work very hard to ensure all of our young participants are safe and having a great time. Unless there is an emergency\, there will be no cars on the course while the athletes are racing. Race volunteers and safety personnel will be positioned throughout the course. Athletes understand to take special precaution on the bike course and run course in particular when cross the railroad track on Sohier Street. \nTriathlon Distances: \n8 & Unders – 50 yards swim (2 lengths)\, 1 mile bike\, .75 mile run \n9 – 11 Age category – 75 yards swim (3 lengths)\, 1 mile bike\, .75 mile run \n12 – 14 Age category – 150 yards swim (6 lengths)\, 1 mile bike\, .75 mile run \nSplash and Dash Distances: \n8 & Unders – 75 yards swim (3 lengths)\, .75 mile run \n9 – 11 Age category – 100 yards swim (4 lengths)\, .75 mile run \n12 – 14 Age category – 150 yards swim (6 lengths)\, .75 mile run \n \n  \n
