DESCRIPTION:Marathon Events in Estonia\nWhy run the Tallinna Marathon in 2018? \nYou have only one chance to run the Tallinna Maraton on Estonia’s 100th anniversary year:   \nIn 2018 the Republic of Estonia is celebrating its 100th anniversary and Tallinna Maraton is part of the official celebrations’ programme. Our goal is to organize an all-time largest Tallinna Maraton with over 21 000 participants – be one of them! \nThis year’s Tallinna Maraton is special because the organisers expect the participants to race wearing the flag colours – blue\, black and white. Every full marathon runner will get a unique blue-black-white T-shirt designed for Estonia100! Half-marathon and 10km runners have the chance to buy the T-shirt with half price. \nMedals are for all Tallinna Maraton finishers  \nTallinna Maraton marathon\, half-marathon and 10km runners will be rewarded with a medal decorated with Estonia’s national flower- cornflower. For the first time the 10km finishers will also receive a medal. Cornflower in Estonian is rukkilill.  \nUNESCO World Heritage Site Tallinn Old Town​ \nYou will be running along UNESCO World Heritage site declared Old Town of Tallinn\, where you can best experience its historical sights and enchanting architecture. The course also includes the modern parts of Tallinn\, and gives you a feel why Tallinn was rewarded as one of the most innovative capital cities in Europe! Visiting Tallinn\, you will realize why Lonely Planet named Tallinn as ‘Best Value Destination 2018’. Come to enjoy free Wi-Fi in the most preserved medieval city in the Northern Europe\, in Tallinn Old Town. \nGreat running weather and fast course awaits you \nA favourable weather with 14-17C in this latitude in September and our fast track are important aspects why international runners join the Tallinna Maraton. In 2017\, a record number of 56 different countries took part and the marathon winner’s time was a world class time of 2:09.22 \nThree-day family running festival \nIf your whole family loves getting active\, Tallinna Maraton may be the perfect match for you. Our program includes Kids Races for the smallest\, Nike We Run Tallinn 5k Youth Run\, 10k for recreational runners\, half- and
full marathon for long distance running lovers. In order to avoid cramming in the competition centre our programme is spread over 3 days\, so if you are coming to enjoy a weekend with just your race you can do just that! \nTallinn is close and everything in Tallinn is close \nYou will soon discover that all key aspects in Tallinn are close together. You can reach Tallinn directly from 23 destinations or with ferries from Helsinki or Stockholm!
