About Hectic Promotions
Hectic Promotions boasts a proven record of accomplishment in presenting cycling events which fulfil the requirements of our sponsors and stakeholders.
We are recognised by Cycling South Africa and the cycling public as one of the foremost cycling event organisation companies with a long history of presenting prestigious events on the national cycling calendar.
Hectic Promotions manages two mass participation road cycling events which attract a combined participation total of 14 000 cyclists. The Sun City Cycle4Cansa Classic is now in its 23rd year of presentation and 2019 saw us present the third edition of the Bestmed Tshwane Classic, which attracted more than 5000 cyclists in its first staging in 2017 and 7000 cyclists in 2019.
These entry figures continue to grow through meticulous detail to organisational excellence as well as our extensive rider and media database to whom we market these events actively.
2019 also saw the first presentation of the Tshwane Diamond Classic Cullinan and the race attracted 2000 riders.
These events are aimed at promoting tourism in the areas, alleviate poverty in the communities and to continue to increase the footprint of our welfare projects, which include the Green Caps Recycling Program and Winter Woolies Projects, which were successfully launched four years ago.
Our events count among the top ten in South Africa as far as media values, prestige and participant totals are concerned. They are permanent fixtures on the Cycling South Africa calendar.
Furthermore, we present the UCI classified Helivac Paarl Boxing Day Track Challenge, which was hosted for the 122nd time in 2019. It’s the largest track cycling event in Africa and attracts the world’s top track cyclists annually to Paarl.
Another new project for 2020 is the Rapport Cycle Tour, which returns to commemorate Rapport’s 50th anniversary.
