Founded in 2005, our dream for IRONMAN is to build the race and see it develop into an iconic event that is held in high esteem both locally and internationally. We want it to be the type of event that raises the bar each passing year from the points of view of participating athletes, sponsors and spectators.

Re-launched by WTC in 2009, IronKids is a triathlon series for youth ages 6 to 15 years that hosted nine U.S. events in its inaugural year. The brand is expanding both domestically and internationally this year, with over 30 U.S. races and licensed events throughout Europe and Asia-Pacific. 5150 is WTC’s newest event series. Their first event is set to take place this year on March 20, 2011. 5150 has over 20 events on its calendar throughout the U.S. and Europe. The WTC family of brands has been featured in a range of media outlets to include NBC, CNN Headline News, Fox Business News, The New York Times, USA Today, Forbes, Sports Illustrated, Glamour and Fitness.
World Endurance Africa Holdings forms part of World Triathlon Corporation and is responsible for staging africa’s only IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 events in Port Elizabeth and East London respectively. Along with these flagship events, the company stages the 5150 African Triathlon Series, Iron Girl, IRONKIDS and Corporate Triathlon Challenge.

It is not only the IRONMAN African Championship that takes place in the unique location of Nelson Mandela Bay, Port Elizabeth but also IRONMAN 70.3 South Africa in East London and IRONMAN 70.3 Durban. Included in our portfolio, we also organize races for more than just serious athletes. IRONKIDS and the Corporate Triathlon Challange gives everyone the chance to get involved and have fun. Our charity, the IRONMAN 4 the Kidz Charity Trust aims to help as many children as possible through fund raising efforts at all major events.
