Triathlon Coaches

United Kingdom

James Bekinsale

He started triathlon as a pure novice (could not even swim!) in 1995 with Thames Turbo. Two years later James moved to Australia to learn more about the new sport he had fallen in love with. On his return to the UK he was selected to represent GB at the World Triathlon Championships (AG) in Canada in 1999.

Pete Wilby

Pete began coaching at his triathlon club during his degree in 2010.  Pete is currently still the junior coach at Exeter Triathlon Club where he works hard to progress the training timetable of swimming cycling and running.

Try Training Harder

In 2010, Tri Training Harder began as a training camp provider hosting athletes out of their base in Portugal. Since then, they had realised that even with a stunning location to work out of, the reason clients kept on returning to them was because of the attention to detail their coaching staff gives each of them individually.

Triathlon Coaching

John got into triathlon in 2006 competing in a local sprint race. From that first race he had competed regularly in the UK and Europe in sprint, standard, 70.3 and full iron distance races, including the iconic Challenge Roth in 2012. In 2014, John was lucky enough to race in awesome surroundings and heat of Abu Dhabi.

Total Tri Training

Headed up by pro athlete Chris Standidge, Total Tri Training has grown into one of the UK’s largest coaching team with 10 experienced coaches mentoring over 200 athletes from all over the world.

Peak Performance Multisport

A passionate Physical Education teacher, Lotty has been a strong advocate of fitness for life. Her passion and drive for physical activity comes the little moments you get when you play; the hairs on the back of your neck standing when you sing National Anthems, the adrenaline rush on the pitch and turning the butterflies, you get before you play into positive energy when it matters.

Ian Dempsy

Ian’s sporting career started at the age of 6 as a swimmer for his local club Walsall. At the time Walsall boasted talents such as Nick Gillingham (Olympic silver & bronze medalist) this was inspirational as a young swimmer seeing what these guys went onto achieve.

Charles Legget

As an athlete Charles came to triathlon through a cricket background and immediately fell in love with the sport & it’s hard work equals results ethic. For the past 6 years it has been my passion striving for success & improvement. A two time 70.3 Overall Winner, & currently with 8 Ironman finishes under the belt with many more 70.3 & short course races including being a 2 time Kona finisher.
